iif someone approached you in a dark alley and told you to give them all of your money what would you do

It would probably depend on my mood at the time and how much money I was carrying, but if I had a lot and didn't want to give it to them, I'd probably fight. I don't value my life a whole lot and I hate when people get away with stuff.

I'd probably put up a bit of a fight if I had a lot of money on me and it was just one person and they weren't armed. The thought of someone getting away with robbing me would just make me furious. If they were armed I'd probably just give it to them, but knowing my temper I might chase after them or something stupid.

I was mugged once while I walking with my cousin to her bus stop. I didn't have anything on me, but these 5 girls surrounded us and said for my cousin to hand over her purse. She didn't and managed to run away since they were all around me. They didn't bother following her but they closed in around me so I couldn't get away. They just kept telling me to hand over my money and I kept telling them I didn't have anything. One of them pulled out a knife, but we were walking and there was this bakery, so when we got close I pushed one and reached for the door. The wench with the knife ended cutting my neck and slammed the door on my ankle, spraining it, but they didn't come inside. My cousin was there and was so clueless about why I was crying and bleeding. Needless to say, we're not that close anymore. 

Anyway, if I had fought back 5 on 1 when at least one had a knife, I don't know what would have happened, so part of me kind of votes against fighting and just running away. Then again, I couldn't really do that either. It depends on the situation I guess, but I have no desire to try out a different scenario. 

I was in the U.S. Marine Corps for six years.  I was a close combat instructor and I'm an extremely aggressive person.  I don't think I'd even lose the situational awareness to be in a spot where I could get mugged but if it happened, I'd destroy the other person.  They aren't doing anything good for humanity and I would wipe them off the face of the earth.  I'm trying to snap necks and kill and I have no problem doing it if someone threatened me, especially with a deadly weapon.

Most muggers are looking for easy scores and people who'll give in.  I'm neither old, frail, nor weak.  I don't think I'd ever be picked out by someone for a mugging.  I'd invite the opportunity.  Me vs. a person who's down on their luck, hungry, probably on drugs, maybe homeless?  Their desperation would not match my training.  

If they werent armed I would resist.
If they had a knife, how much could you have on you that its worth more than your life. Take it.

I know literally nothing about fighting and I'm one of the smallest freshmen at my school. So I'd just hand over my money. It's not like I have a bunch anyway

I'd fight the punk. No question there.

I have sharp reflexes and i can dodge and counter very easily. Whoever's fighting me wouldn't stand much of a chance.

Not that he'd even be able to take much if he somehow won - i rarely carry more than $15 on me.

Chances are that most thieves are carrying a weapon of some sort, Honestly speaking I would much rather hand over any small amount of money I have than being stabbed. 

Seriously though I would probably try to talk them out of it. I feel that only the most desperate of people would not listen to reason. And depending on the state of the person I might just give them some money anyways. I guess I just do not like to see people suffering. 

I mean it could be a homeless man who has had to resort to crime to try to get some food because of the cold hearted community not giving him anything to live on... 

I guess I just like to see people happy, and that everyone no matter how evil has a good side.

a-sassy-black-lady : Me? I am a fighter at heart, and have always imagined what might happen in a situation like this. I have no combat training after all, and am not sure what I might do about a gun. But any money that I might be carrying is for me and my family--it is the money that GOD gave me. It is not for some sleazeball to walk by and grab because he feels like having a little extra cash. In the case of the gun, my plan is to fake surrender long enough to get closer and take the gun by surprise. Knife? A quick dodge and grab the arm holding it.  Knock him out with a few swift facial punches. Tough guy? Swift strike to the back of the knee should pretty much collapse him instantly, giving me the chance to make any other move I need. Hopefully nothing else would come up, and I would not be travelling with my family, since I do not want them getting hurt and fear them being used. Hopefully, in that case though, a little extra fury will do the trick.

Seeing i have a weapon on me at all times I fight also my brother is in the military and he teaches me some of the things to defend myself.

I'll be honest here.

If he didn't have a firearm, or a knife.... and I did, I would kill him.

I don't know how to fight, I just know how to kill someone. :V

Since i dont fight, i cant defend myself. So i will hand over the money......its the easiest way to get out of a situation like this.

I would rob him

I'd do what gives me the biggest chance of survival based on the situation.

If that includes running away after dropping my money, so be it.

This is all just logic, because all money takes is time, which I won't have if I'm dead.

If the man had a gun of some sort, I'd just try to not look scared, and not give them the money. Considering I never have money, I'd be like: 'Hey, shoot me. I have no money anyways, just look everywhere in my clothes, then go. Shoot me or not; you'll get in jail anyways.'
But outside I'd be like: 'I.. I have no money...' and I'd look so scared.

If I'd be older and can talk to people better then now, and I'm stronger and can counter attack or what I can do, I'd just pick up a fight, after talking to them as of why they don't have to rob me. Who wants €20 anyways? It's not like I have Two million on me all the time.

Edit: If it was now getting robbed, I'd honestly scream until someone comes to the place I am. I'd just scream like a girl, and let every one know theres a bad guy.
