I am hosting a steam Screenshot Competition. If I see your screenshot, and I like it. I will enter it into the competition for 15,000 Viz. If you are part of my current friends list, you are competing, unless you state that you don't want to take part in it. If you want a better chance at winning, capture many moments. 

Rules: It must be appropriate. It can contain Spoilers, but you must warn about it. (If I see a spoiler without it being warned about, I will remove even a screenshot I love.) It can't be entered if it isn't on steam.

Either post your screenshot here, or just upload it to steam like normal. Have fun, be fair, and try to win Viz. I may be adding a second place and third place reward. (I haven't come up with something for that yet. Enjoy getting rewarded for gaming. It's just a few clicks away! 

Disclaimer: I won't be partial to someone. I'll make it off of the game, the content, and how well done the screenshot is. It isn't about being a close friend of mine, it's about the picture itself.

earthwarrior : Any ideas to make this better? Spice up the competition?

It can be funny, a story part, or just anything. If it is from a game you have on steam you can enter it in this competition. It must be entered between now and the first weeks of November, because I don't want to go through the 100+ screenshots that people have. I want it to be an active competition, not a reward for something that has already been entered on steam.

I think it might be better if the all the screenshots are posted here, that way anybody who is entering can see what they're up against. There's no real way for others to tell if you are being fair if they cant see other pictures without searching. And you don't think 5K might be a bit low for a competition?

zanderlex : Thanks for the input. I'll change the rules on that. Good idea. What do you think a good amount would be? I'll do that for Third place? (I'm concerned about losing a lot of Viz.) I don't know how much I'll be able to use. But I can make a lot in a day, when I really go post crazy.

darthyoda : If you want, you can hold off and have this as part of the Steam Posting Competition, which will have a category for screesnhots, as well as achievements, but the only way I can host that this time is if I get enough donations to cover the prize. (I don't want to charge a 10K entry fee again)

Maybe everyone who enters can vote for the screenshot that they like the best? So no one thinks you're biased to someone or a game.

earthwarrior : I thank you for giving the tip. I have a way to make sure I'm not just doing it. I want it to be about games. Are you interested in being a judge. You can enter, but I will have it so you can't rate your own. 

zanderlex : I need another judge. You interested? We can make this the official November competition. I would be willing to help you with that. Do you like the idea?

darthyoda : Well, there's already an official November Competition, I just need the Viz and the people, but I guess I can be a judge if it doesnt really take up too much time.
