Since, the Wii U doesn't have that many online functions, and the 3DS doesn't have that many as well-- which mode would you choose, online or local mode that is.

Personally I prefer online mode. The reason behind that is it's more convenient in many ways, though connection wise can be a problem. My sister never wants to pay video games with me, and my gamer buddies live an hour away from my house. So, it gets kind of lonely playing by yourself on a daily basis. Especially, if you don't have many friends.

So, what about you?

online for sure because I sort of hate playing all by myself and online is just better as you might meet someone you know *I actually did and were like good friends now* and it's better cause you can team up with each-other in most games

I like Coop Gameplay, but sadly I think that Local isn't really mine thing. I don't know very many local people who play the games I play. That means I would rather play just plain online. The next person I know who plays the games I like, lives more than 300 miles away. It's more than a days trip... That makes it not fun. I like playing with/ against friends, not really random people online.

I prefer local/LAN because you can't blame anything on lag if you mess up.

I prefer local gameplay because it is just more fun and more intense that way. Who wouldn't want to beat your friends or relatives right in front of their eyes? Plus internet connection doesn't butt in and the game can run by itself with no problems at all.

Online, most definately. I like to play by myself, sure, but for me it's just playing with real people that makes a game that much more fun. I'm very competitive, so I like to be able to challenge other people from around the world.

Super Mega Man 568 : Yes, most definately

I'm going with local for this one. I play some games online, and I netplay with my friends on vizzed and play fifa a lot online, I personally believe that being in the same room is a better experience, I actually played local today with my friend on the ps2. We played DBZ Budokai tenkaichi 3. And, I can't see that intensity in a online game.

Online mode is what I prefer because I can't play video games I like with my friends much and almost always, they don't have the game and/or console I have, so I can only play the games with them when they're at my house. Also, I like competing with random people online so I can have a nice challenge and see how skilled I am compared to many other players.

Kuti_Kat : I'm confused... are you asking for in general? Or are you asking for the Wii U? Because that will influence my answer.

I don't have a Wii U, and I don't plan on ever getting one.
However, you are talking about in general, I like playing online, but in private matches with friends. It gives us the freedom to set up weird games and even more crazy rules, which makes things fun.

Ever since I played The Last of Us that multi player made me fall in love with online, I used to like only local, but online creates so much more expanse that really going back to local in my opinion pales in comparison when you are looking at online in general. The challenge alone makes it all the worth while.
