I am summoning you 2 because I know you are both into WWE. So, I need your help.
Is this part of the recent WWE Monday Night Raw scripted? The part where Rusev kicks the man in the American military uniform? I know why the man jumped into the ring, and got all pissed off; it was because Rusev was going to pull the American flag down. That, as a Veteran, is an ultimate sign is disrespect.
All I want to know is if you guys think or know that the part where the Man in uniform jumped in and got kicked in the head was scripted or not.

thing1 : Yeah, it was scripted. The guy who jumped the barricade didn't have any rank, name, or anything on his uniform apparently, so it was just a dude in a costume. He was planted by the WWE and told to jump the barricade for the spot. I mean, anything like that is scripted and most everything is anyway.  It's just the WWE trying to get more heat for Rusev. 

Fishergirl7 : I found the video of Big Show coming down to help the "service member". I noticed that he didn't have any rank ( which is possible if you are an E-1 PVT ), nor did have have a unit patch or a name tape saying what branch he was a part of. He did have the flag on the left shoulder, though, and he had a name tape saying his name. 

However, with that being said, I think a line was crossed here. I am not as furious as I was when I first saw it happened, since I did some looking into it, but still, I am officially boycotting WWE, and requesting the release of Rusev, or a major change of character after him being away for some time. There are some lines you just do not cross, and as an Army Veteran, that is one of them. Especially with Rusev playing a Heel, the Anti-American Villain. 

I can guarantee you that the WWE just lost a good bit of their target audience, and that is the military audience. You'd think that the military audience would tune in to see what happened to Rusev, but it's actually quite the opposite. A lot of people will start boycotting WWE until either Rusev's character is trashed, or he is fired. 

I thought it was scripted as well based from what I saw. He did have nothing on his uniform which I assume that it is just a stuntman in an uniform. scripted stuff like this is always happening whether it would be realistic looking or not. The WWE always has "disrepectful" scripts like this anyway. You had wrestlers rip flags off poles, sneeze on flags, tear them down, and etc. It is just what you would see typical in the WWE. Sometimes it can be way off like a couple of few weeks ago with the Big Show disrespecting the Russian flag and there had to be real apologies for that. It really just depends on how serious it looks but if the WWE does take it too far, the storyline could be gone out of nowhere.

.... boycotting a scripted show because a fake military guy got beat up? Give me a break. I thought you would be more upset that the guy was wearing a uniform he didn't earn. At least have some standards when you get upset about stuff.

geeogree : Technically, he didn't wear anything that would make it illegal or violating Stolen Valor. But the WWE has had this Rusev disrespecting America and the military for months now, and I have had enough of it. That is why I am boycotting the show; because they finally crossed an uncrossable line.

It's sports entertainment. This stuff happens because it gets people's attention. It's entertaining.

They are trying to build up Rusev as a completely unlikable character, hoping to get legitimate heat on the fictional character. And because you are taking it personally, you are playing right into their hands.

They want people to hate Rusev. They want them to boo him.

Personally, I find Rusev boring anyways, and while his actions would be objectionable in real life... it's just a TV Show.

[shrug]. I don't know what sort of things you have to wear in order for that line to be crossed in regards to uniforms.

Again, which uncrossable line? The guy wasn't a real soldier. I'm not sure what the big deal is. This won't go on forever. The WWE is one of the most blindly patriotic companies I've ever come across. They will do something epic when someone finally beats Rusev. Seems like a silly reason to boycott them.

Y'know this isn't the first time they did something like this, right? They do crap like this all the time, even with pulling flags down/disrespecting flags to people posing as military plants. Then again, it's a different time from then and now and the media absolutely hates this, but come on, really? You're boycotting the scriptED show on a military PLANT that was NOT A REAL MILITARY OFFICER AT ALL? Come on, man. Really? I won't stop you from boycotting, but I'm sure as hell not going to.

Also, Rusev sucks anyway, so I could care less. He's going to be a joke in a year tops after the great wall of Cena kills his monster persona and becomes a dancing joke.

The WWE is trying their best to get you to hate Rusev by doing stunts like that. That is how WWE wants to react. The WWE is very patriotic when it comes to the land of the brave like what geeogree said so don't get that offended. It is not real life and WWE is known as a sports entertainment company. The soldier is just an actor, not a real soldier.
