So, it is about that time of year where Undertaker talk starts again. In a month or two, he will show up, and people will start making the case that they should get a chance at The Streak.
Oh wait, that's right.. The Streak is no more.
However, 21 - 1 at WrestleMania is freaking outstanding. I mean, who would have thought.

Now, the question is, who should Undertaker face, if anybody, at WrestleMania? I have a few opinions of my own:

Brock Lesnar
Taker has to be furious that Brock Lesnar beat The Streak, so of course the Undertaker is going to want some kind of revenge.
Roman Reigns
I say Roman only because this guy is getting that secret push where you can tell he's getting a push, and it's going to happen soon. They just have the spring coiled, and he's ready to let loose.
I personally think that Roman Reigns should have been the one to beat the Streak, not Lensar, a part timer, if anybody should have beaten the streak, but that is just me.
Kurt Angel
Now, Kurt Angel has said that he has signed a 1 year contract, that it will start in January ( Royal Rumble surprise entry, maybe ? ) but he will not say who that contract is with. He has also said that after that 1 year contract, he will be done, finished, retired. He has also said that he would not mind one last run at the WWE.
Now, this is the least likely out of who I could see facing Taker, but you have to consider it. If he does face Taker, he will no doubt lose, but he will get a nice push in his last hoo - rah before he retires.
Sting
Sting. We all know he signed a contract for a WrestleMania match, and as much as people would love to see a Taker vs Sting match, would it be a good match? They are both old, so neither one of them could really carry each other.
Personally, I would love to see this, but I highly doubt that this match will happen.
Daniel Bryan
So, apparently, Daniel Bryan was supposed to face Taker at WM last year, before he found out he needed surgery. Hmmm... Maybe this year? Now, while this would probably not be a good match in my opinion, it would be interesting to see, especially given since we don't know when the Goat Face is returning. Yet.
Nobody
The Undertaker did get man handled. He was destroyed. Almost as bad as that Hell In A Cell match against Triple H where Shawn Michaels was the Special Guest Referee. He could just be done. However, this is the Deadman we are talking about here, so while there is a chance of this happening, I don't think it is all that likely.

So, weigh in. Should Taker Wrestle one more WrestleMania match in an attempt to avenge the now defunct Streak, or should he seek vengeance?

I don't know. I haven't an entire wrestling match in my life. But even I, who know so little about the sport, recognize his name. To have him wrestle again sounds like a good idea. It will give his fans something to live for. I support his return to the sport, but I hope he doesn't overdo it.

This is easy for me.... he should definitely go against Sting..... although I wouldn't mind seeing Taker get revenge on Lesner for ending his Streak..... and I also wouldn't mind Bryan facing him either!!

Great choices of opponents BTW Thing!!

I honestly don't think that Undertaker should have another match. He barely handled his previous match with Lesnar back in Wrestlemania 30 and not to mention, he was unconscious for some part of time in the match. It is time for the Deadman to be the deadman and have his wrestling work rest in peace. I love all of the work and dedication that the Undertaker has put through after all of these years but everything has its limit. There is really no purpose of having the Undertaker wrestle again and if he does, he could face more severe consequences and health issues next time.

ghostfishy : Eh, you have a point, but I honestly see him trying to avenge his loss. In the very least, I think he should come back and some some kind of role. Maybe seeing The Dead Man be a General Manager or a Commissioner like Mick Foley did... That would be pretty freaking epic.

I think he needs to have 1 more match. Not sure who else would be appropriate at this point to "retire" Undertaker though.

I personally would want Sting, not because he'll be the best but because he is the only old school person left. Everyone else is too new.

geeogree : Like I said already, Sting would be great for those of us who have watched WWE for more than just a few years, but do you really think that they could put on a good match? And knowing WWE, they'll keep the Dead Man and Sting's match separate, to try to draw out WrestleMania, and get more money out of it.

thing1 : honestly I don't think they would put on the best match ever but most retirement matches aren't about being the greatest match and more about letting the retiree pick the person who ends their career.

And honestly, who do you put them against then? I don't think any of the newer guys are worthy of the match. You would have to bring someone else back to do it. Someone with history with the Undertaker. I would hate to see anyone who started in the last 10 years be part of it.

I agree. It's not likely that it will happen. I honestly don't know what they plan to do with Sting. He can't wrestle like he used to and he is new to a LOT of the current WWE fans.

Anyway, I could see Roman Reigns being the guy in order to give him a push but at the same time not.

I am looking forward to the new year though. I like January through April in WWE. It's by far the more exciting time in my opinion.

If Undertaker were to have one more match, it would be with someone that he has a lot of in-ring chemistry with him. I would suggest Shawn Michaels or Kane but I don't really see that happening. It doesn't fit if he goes against one of the newer wrestlers in the WWE since that doesn't seem right to me.

Me and a co-worker at my job (who's also a wrestling fan as well) we was discussing that The Undertaker will have one more match and a lot of people (including us two) wants to see The Undertaker vs. Sting at WrestleMania 31, so I think personally he'll return around the Royal Rumble time and we think Sting will make a suprise appearance duing the Royal Rumble match, and they'll start a rivary between that point and WresleMania 31.

After watching him lose in person at WM 30 and seeing how he looked like he was out of it, I would say it best for him to retire.. It kind of sucks because I would have loved to see him retire undefeated at WM..

IgorBird122 : Like I said, I think that is a waste of those 2 guys. Taker and Sting are both old. As famous and popular as they are, I honestly do not think that they could  put on a good match.
I can say that I surprised the poster boy, and my favorite, John Cena has never faced Undertaker at WrestleMania.

I have heard that Cena vs Sting might be possible.
And if Taker wrestles, I think the best choice would be to have him get revenge on Brock Lesnar, and retire that way. That's the only meaningful thing I can see happening with Taker, honestly.

I have mixed feelings to be honest. Taker looked worn out at WM 30. He is one of my favorite wrestlers but I believe he is done as he is near 50 years old. Sad to see athletes retire but it happens to em all. On the other hand I would like to see Taker Vs Sting. I think it would be neat if WWE could have the two icons face each other. The decision thought will be up to taker. When he wrestled HHH two years ago it was really the end of an era. HBK, Razor Ramon, Diesel, Syxx, and Mankind have retired. Personally I think they should induct Taker in the hall of fame this year.

Honestly, I don't think he should wrestle again. I kind of think he shouldn't have been wrestling for the past few years. He's just past his prime and ready to retire I think. Even if he had a phenomenally gifted opponent carrying him through the match, it just wouldn't be good since it would be painfully obvious he's being carried...like most of his recent matches.

tornadocam : I definitely agree with you there. I feel like it is time for Undertaker to be in the next Hall of Fame to be inducted. I would like Undertaker to be inducted by Kane especially when they are the Brothers of Destruction, they have a lot of work chemistry together, and they have a lot of history together over the years in the WWE.

Fishergirl7 : Exactly what I said in this thread earlier. Undertaker should seriously retire especially in the condition that he is in right now.

Cyber Bishop : Who wouldn't want the Undertaker to keep his streak and retire? His career history is legendary especially when it took a long time for him to build it up just to have it killed. Nobody was really expecting him to lose.

I like the Undertaker so much and have been a fan since he first started wrestling ( and I don't mean later in the WWF ). I mean like back in 1984 when he first started wrestling ( in the WCCW ) as  "Mean" Mark Callous. He didn't join WWF until 1990. Anyways I am getting off track. I would personally love to see him wrestle for a year more and then retire ( as a hall of famer ). In my head I know he's injured and has reached his limit but as a fan my heart says " 1 More Year!!!". I disagree with him being carried cuz the dude has been the one doing the carrying for years. He's a pro and would do his best at whatever they asked of him till the end. Sorry the fan in me speaking out.
Now back to the question at hand. If he did the one more year or even just a couple of matches I would be thrilled. I'd love to see if he did the year .... well him making one more run as maybe tag champs. Team up with someone like Dean Ambrose or Bray Wyatt or Sheamus become tag team champions for a bit to end the year. If for just two matches then I'd like to see him come back and get revenge on Brock Lesnar at any pay per view in the same match that he lost in .  The second match I'd like to see would be his final match and it would have to be against Kane at Wrestlemania in a Casket Match. I think that last match would be a great way to send him off in retirement.
To end this .. I hope he does come back but yeah in the end ( as much as I hate to say it ) I have to agree I think he should retire.
