If you don't know what happened, click here:?http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kgpEPsrG1kQ
The thought that someone has this much mentality to refuse to help a dying 62 year old Man makes me angry as f***. The fact that the woman had to have the man's chest shaved just so the woman can consider Refibulating (I'm not sure how you spell it) the man is Outrageous. I think that the Flight Attendant should face 2 Years of jail and Criminal charges for practically killing a Man who was relying on her to save his life. What do you think about the incident?

Honestly, I think that this is fake. Everything about channel says fake. If this was real, Nancy Drew would have been all over it.

thing1 : I can't say it is true, because I have no evidence, but I have seen some of the videos, and 25% of the 2014 videos have a Real Footage showing exactly what happened, and also a lot of the events in the videos have been on other news channels, but you do have a point on this one, because I haven't seen this one on any other news channel/station

Apparently the hair can catch fire.
In a plane, thousands of feet above ground, lots of sensitive equipment, and not a lot of air, it could be bad for everyone.
On the other side of things, I'd imagine being hairy hampers the effectiveness of defibrillators, since hair doesn't really conduct electricity (I think), blocking it from reaching the heart.

A link I found with NBC news
http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/widow-defibrillator-not-used-husband-because-hairy-chest-n192881
Also saw other news articles about it, but didn't read them

thenumberone :
Alright man, you really gotta stop beating me to the punch :p

Essentially, defibrillation is pointless if the chest is hairy enough
It's like using the pads over clothing...worse in fact depending on the level of hair
It's protocol to remove hair in that event, because the electricity will not conduct properly
and the pads won't be able to adhere to the skin, which is very much a necessity for most of these devices
And as thenumberone stated, hair could potentially catch fire, which is a far from ideal situation.
Especially on an aircraft.
I know that was already stated, but I did want to confirm it is the case as far as I've been able to find,
I would have provided some links for you, but I've actually researched this for a different reason sometime ago.

Basically though, the flight attendant was following protocol outlined for these machines
That's the reason the law suit filed by the mans wife went nowhere, and most likely why it didn't receive any major coverage.
