And holy crap it was good. Not amazing/epic good... but it did it's job.


Although I admit that I don't generally like alien abduction type movies so this one got to me a little extra.

I do suggest watching it though. It's supposedly based on real events. There was "real life" footage to go along with what they filmed for the movie. I have no idea if any of it is real. It's honestly hard to tell. I imagine it could just be a really good way to pitch a movie. If anyone knows more then let me know but I find it a tad hard to believe that any of it was real.

Oh I want to see this movie I love alien movies Not too sure about "real footage" usually in movies they will recreate it to sell the story better. Based on true events is also a loose term. Like Ed Gein and how they spun 3 movies out (Psycho, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Silence of the Lambs) based off events he has done.

If anything, I would love to see someone attempt to make a alien movie done with Dr. Reed's story. The guy who was taking a hike with his dog in Washington State and came across an alien.

His dog ran ahead of him, he went after it and caught up to an alien hurting the dog. So he got a stick and bashed it's brains in.

People can believe what they want but this guy has been shot at and is still on the run for many years after this event. Probably THE best footage you will ever find of an alien encounter, or one of the best.

You realize the whole "real footage" is fake and it was just used to "milk" the event.

Though I'm not going to watch it, seeing as not of it is real.

and since I just saw your post I checked about that and it turns out that the only part of the story that is real is the missing people.

Nothing else about the movie is factual. The alien abduction plot line is completely fictional.
