Hi everyone I came up with an idea for a thread. so....do you feel in a way that you are a failure? like...when you want to try and do something to help, but due to certain conditions or reasons? For me I feel....I am a failure to my family financial wise....I've felt this way for sometime now. I don't have a job, as I can't have one social wise due to my health and more....I see my mother struggling in order to pay the bills. And in my mind....I have what is the best way to help her? How can I help my family too? Because it is very unusual for people at my age to still be living at home, with their mum or dad. But that's only if you are born mental disabled, or due to other reasons and such. I do try to come up with any ideas that I have to help....so I am trying my best too..

So I have shared my part. What is yours? I have some areas, that I also feel that I am a failure towards on. But, I will not say of it on this thread....

I can't really explain why I feel like a faliure. one thing is I feel like a failure to my family. I can never do anything right and I end up screwing up a lot of things that just make it harder for our family. we kinda struggle finacially, and I'm always breaking things so I'm just making it even worse for my family. I think the most I have helped my family is when I'm not in it. :T

I think the next thing would be my friends here on Vizzed. You see, most of my friends know each other, so we're kinda a big friend group. and we do end up fighting among one another. I feel like I brought some of these friends together, so sometimes I do feel like I'm the leader of this group and I'm supposed to settle the differences, but I do a terrible job of doing anything to help. It makes me feel so terrible when I see friends upset or hurt, even if I don't know what is even going on with them. I always try to help, but somehow I always end up making things worse for them and myself that way. @w@

EDIT---- Okay I actually don't feel like a failure I thought if I said I was a failure that would make people feel better plus I wanted to get some extra Viz

Got no job, living at home with parents, nothing going for me in life and I've gone in full circle in just a decade - I had nothing going for me a decade ago, then six years ago I had potential to do things but now all of that potential has gone because of myself, back to being a somebody with nothing going for them in life. No motivation to change, happy in my own slump and nobody really knows this.


Such darkness and depression in this thread, when on it all nobody is a failure - You started with nothing, nobody to help or anything, so you've certainly not lost anything, and then you've got the entire universe to look at - you're a miracle!

No one is a failure, No one! I'm not one you are not one no one is a failure, not trying to be mean here, but this is kind of a useless thread in my eyes.

I think it's the best not to look at your bad sides but on your good sides. Everyone is special and is able to do wonderful things in a certain thing like gaming. Looking at if you are a failure makes you only depressed which is not good to do. Yeah, there will be a day when you feel like you are a failure. The best thing to do at that moment is to think about your good points and to stay focused on that.

Just like Monster said, nobody is a failure. Just stay positive and everything will be alright.

Quick note ~ I prefer not to give any examples when I felt like a failure, I hope you can understand.

Eniitan : If you can't do a lot because it's hard for your health and other things, maybe you could try to write a book or something? There are many people who work at home too, maybe you could try to look for something.

Gingercream1 : Really, everybody has dissapointed my family once. Really, my mom sometimes complains I'm no help but when everything is done that needs to be done she says she's proud of me and that I shouldn't forget that she still likes me even though I mess up sometimes. You should think that too.

Well, the thing with friendships is that if friends don't agree it's unusual and then they might end up fighting. Don't feel like the leader of the group, somebody could ask you for help or you could help without them asking it but you shouldn't think you should fix everything. For example, I talk with my friends when things don't go well but I try to always fix the problems here myself if possible.

I agree with you, everybody fails once but that's natural and you have to accept that. Everybody has many good sides too, that's what makes us humans.

I don't think that I am a failure. I mean, I think that I have done some things that I would consider a failure, but me myself a failure? Naw.

A month ago I would've considered myself a failure, but I've realized recently that you have to fail to succeed. So I think I am an up and coming success story along with everyone else here, unless you are already successful.

im a failure at everything. I cant help no one, everything i do is a problem and I HAVE NO FRIENDS! Just awhile go i wanted to kill myself..but i have so much to live for to do that. So yep im a failure.

When you say, "I'm a failure," you're setting yourself up for disaster.  Try saying, "I'm not good at (whatever)," and if you want to improve, learn how or practice it.

Life is all about Positive Mental Attitude, or PMA.  The most successful people keep trucking and keep working and developing themselves long after disaster and failure hits them.  Can you guess how many times guys like Bill Gates and Steve Jobs didn't have something work for them?  I'm guessing they failed a ton more than all of us on Vizzed because they kept trying and kept working to continue to find success.

You have to fail to learn and figure things out and get better.  Failure is a part of life and it's not a bad part.


Never, ever say you're a failure.  You're still here.  That's success.

jack3604 : You two....thank you. I made my thread to be like this on purpose to, get people to see the sense of what I said in my words on my thread. I liked your posts because you two was the only people, to say what I was looking for to do with failure, and the rest did not. I would like...to talk to you two more of my sense to do with my failures in a way. To um, get you to understand more of what I mean....I hope that is ok? Because its hard to find a future if you are born mentally ill. Its different for normal people. So I will explain what  I also mean by that. I'm....more like a late bloomer so my time is set now. I will tell you of what I mean by that. 

I think most people have felt like that at some point in their lives; you are not alone.

But to everyone:
There are things that you cannot change or even influence. You should not concern yourself with them, as hard as that is. Focus only on what you CAN influence, wrap yourself up in it, think about it, act in it. You're world should revolve around things you CAN do, never around what you can't.

If you are good at something, do it... a lot. Don't concern yourself over what you wish you could do 'if things were different'.

If you can do that, if you can focus on only what you can influence and do, then in time you can start to expand your circle of influence and you will be able to accomplish things you couldn't in the past. But worrying about what is outside your circle of influence never does anyone any good.
