Right, The concept of this thread is to read the game mentioned in the post above (as this is the first post there wont be one obviously

And then pick a steam game that you believe is better, Your post will have to have a reason for why the game is better as well, Whether that be price, game play, graphics, story or anything else related to the game. 

I feel this will be a good way for people to tell each other what games are good in their opinion and might make other users interested in the game they mentioned. 

So I'll start it off By saying that Left 4 Dead 2 is a great game because it has a great multiplayer mode and it has a lot of mods for it as well.

Team Fortress 2 is a free (did I mention that it's free?) online single and multiplayer game that is not your typical shooting game. In this game, you get a choice to decide which class that you can use in order to help benefit more for your team and win the rounds depending on the match. From my experience, not many shooting games offer other classes to create a better and enjoyable experience in a shooting environment. This game is fun to play as it requires lots of skill, strategy, and perseverance.

Portal 2 is the best sequel ever made, imo. It added a lot of new play mechanics, added a fantastic new character in Wheatley, along with a fantastic bit of dialogue to go with it. The game was lengthier than Portal, and featured user-generated levels. This last bit was the perfect addition, and largely what made Portal 2 so great. People have created many, many levels, to the benefit of the community.

Team Fortress 2 has more players, sure, but it's not the same. The player base of TF2 is largely selfish. The playerbase of Portal 2 is different. Instead of trying to win a match for yourself or even your team, you could be creating levels that could possibly be enjoyed for generations to come. Plus the game doesn't have the salty language of TF2, so families can enjoy the game.

Garrys Mod is better than Team Fortress 2 because of the large assortment of various games that can be played within the game itself such as Prop Hunt, TTT, Death Run, Murder, and Cops and Runners. I personally believe this is the largest in game collection of pretty much full games that any game can have, and that's why I have to choose it.

Half-Life 2 is better, because it's what came before Garry's Mod. Plus they have great mechanics, shooting is smooth, jumping is smooth, pretty much everything is just perfect!
