A few days ago, I made a thread that I would go on vacation for 4 days. When I came back,
faisal.97 : suggested that I could make a thread about what I did. So I'll tell about it!

Day 1: Departure
The goal was to leave at 10 AM but of course, we left at 12 AM. This gave me some time to do a good check on Vizzed before we left though. We were driving with the car and first we went to a fashion outlet, a place with many stores and restaurants together. I only bought a T-shirt as I don't really need new clothes at the moment so me, my little brother and my dad were pretty bored while my sister and mom were actually looking for clothes. My mom also saw her Chinese teacher, her dad, and her two sons who were bored as well We also ate cake and bagels there but the bagels were supposed to have mozzarella but they had some fake cheese. After that we drove to our destination and when we were there, we greeted the owner and put our stuff in the room. We stayed in the room for a about 45 minutes and after that we ate our dinner. That was about it for the first day.

Day 2: Deutschland
When we woke up, our dad barely slept well as he was awake for about two hours to kill mosquitoes. So you can imagine that he wasn't very happy. After we had our breakfast we went to Germany where we went to a city called Leer where we went to a tea museum and after that we went to a place called Papenburg where we took an icecream and there were Dutch people working at the icecream shop IN that place they also have a shipyard so we went there as well. We got a tour but the man who did the tour could only speak in German and my German isn't very good so I only understood maybe... 2-3% from what he said My feet were killing me as well as we had walked a lot so when it was over I was pretty happy. We went back to our hotel and had dinner again.?

Day 3: Out of ideas?
This time it was my brother who didn't sleep well, he was stung by many mosquitoes. We went to Germany again to a place where they had a market and we bought some service there but that was about it. After that we went to a place where we went last year and ate some cake and tosti's there. We took a little walk but soon we left to go back to our hotel. We chilled there a lot and we had to leave early as we took dinner in a restaurant with a Michelin star! It was delicious but pricey (almost 300 euros!!!).?

Day 4: Return and hard to find lunch
This day we left after we took breakfast and we went to a place where they had sand sculptures based on fairy tales. It was cool to see and after that we tried to find a place to lunch but we could find nothing for about 3 HOURS. ALMOST EVERYTHING WAS CLOSED. And some restaurants had boards outside saying 'come eat here!' while they are still closed. F***ers. So we were extremely hungry when we finally found a bakery where we ate and drink a few things. There was also a man who begged us for coins for some sort of action to get free coffee but we couldn't give it as apparently he begs everybody there with a friend (we didn't know that, it was the first time we went there). ?After that we went on our way back home and ate at an Asian restaurant. We took a three portions menu but it didn't have a dessert and since we were there for more than two hours we just left and went home. My mom even didn't give a tip, that's how disappointed she was (she said that it's a Chinese tradition to not give tips though). Then we went back home.

Well, that was my short vacation, I hope you liked to read it and feel free to ask questions about it as this is a short summary and I may have missed things.

Awesome! It sounds as if it was a fun trip and I'm sure it was! I think I know how you felt when you were bored at a store because I always get bored at stores unless the shopping is mostly or entirely for me. I laughed at the part where you said, "And some restaurants had boards outside saying 'come eat here!' while they are still closed. F***ers." Oh, the stupidity. If I saw that, I would want someone to get a picture of me eating food at that sign.

Sounds like you had a really eventful vacation! Cool :-)
And such a lucky fellow you are to visit a Michelin star restaurant! I've never been to one personally but can only imagine how delicious the food must be. I hope they weren't those tiny portions they show on cooking shows!

Those are some cool experiences you had over there. It kind of wants me to experience it myself.

Well, glad to see you had fun, and welcome back!

juuldude :
From What I understand, you must have enjoyed your vacation (well not a lot, but enough to say that it was worth it), I don't know about how annoying the mosquitoes are because I'm in a country where there are not a lot of bugs (and we take care of our house and spray chemicals), but I know for sure that they drive someone crazy.

That reminds me of my sisters's vacation to Hong Kong, she says it was unbearable for her. (sorry if that offended anyone here)

But anyway, I hope you don't mind going there again if you had the chance to do so.

Welcome back dude! Your vacation turned out to be quite an adventure.

Even if it wasn't the most comfortable experience, you got a taste of a different culture and lifestyle, and that's pretty cool.

PacmanandMariofan : Thanks! Yeah, stores always bore me and I was getting very hungry and everybody else too so we were getting very irritated.

sillysoul : Indeed! Yeah, the food was amazing and some of the portions were small but we got many things and at the end our bellies were full :3

greenluigi : Yeah, Germany was really cool! Sounds like mosquitoes are quite annoying for you as well :|

pacman1755 : True, I had a great time. Thank you, I'm happy to be back!

saldek : It was great, even though we had many mosquitoes. I am not sensible for them but my father, brother and sister are. I am sure that I will go back if we have the time and the money, this was the sixth time we went there

EideticMemory : Thanks! It was an unique adventure It may not have been comfortable every time but it was worth the visit for the experience like you said, and about cultures, I drank tea in an unique 'East-Frisian' way which is putting a block of sugar at the bottom, then pouring the tea and then you do creamy milk at the outside of the cup or something like that. It made the tea taste very interesting.

I will be very honest. I am exceptionally jealous that you could drive a few hours and literally be in a different country, or drive in another direction and be in an entirely different country from the previous. It does sound like you had fun though. Hope you enjoyed it a lot.

300 hundred Euros? How much is that in American dollars?

And if you kept going to Germany, where you staying? On the other side of the border? Because that really does not make much sense to me.

Woahh... nice trip man Ahh even I hate mosquitoes... the moment winter comes in my city.. they are like unleashed, and sometimes they bug me throughout the night!

And lol it looks like you are very close to Germany, that in four days you visit a country twice Also, there seemed to be few coincidences(like the Dutch people in that shop), and any trip with coincidences are sure fun to know

sop281 : Yeah, that's one of the pros of living in a small country Thanks!

thing1 : That would be... 402,03 dollars! I was staying close to the border of Germany so that's why we could drive to Germany in less than an hour. Why does it not make much sense to you?

faisal.97 : We always have them in the summer, they are mostly annoying when you're about to sleep but then you hear them zooming through your room Yeah, there were many coincidences but that's what makes trips so funny

juuldude : I too was at a 5 day vacation to Watford/London. It only took a day to get to Watford and went to the Making of Harry Potter. You seemed to enjoy going to Germany. As for Mosies we have them too but they aren't that bad. They just give you an itch. They are more frequent in the western part of Scotland. I have never been bitten by a mosquito before but I have seen what marks they can give you as my Gran was bitten once when I was in Barcelona in 2009.

You payed $402.03 for a single meal? Yeah... even the fanciest of fancy restaurants do not cost that much here.

And it did not make sense to me because if you visiting Germany, I would have thought you would have been staying in Germany.

thing1 : Yup, it was very expensive as you can see. And we never really went to Germany before so that's why we decided to do that.

That's so cool! Germans in general are cool until you're trying to understand what they say.  Glad you had a good time though.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
