Savant: a solo artist who doesn't confine himself to musical genres and instead creates a broad range of electronic music all with his unique 8-bitish sound. No matter what genre he produces music in, whether it's complextro, glitchhop, dubstep, fidget house, drum and base or anything else, it always carries his unique sound. Some have said it's a little ADHD at times, and maybe it is, but it will draw you in if you let it. He has also had the distinction of being nominated for the 2009 Norwegian Grammy Awards, producing nine albums since adopting the alias Savant in 2011 not including EPs (with most of them being made in a ridiculously short time span!), and having his 2012 album Alchemist reaching the top of Beatports charts in many different categories. There is one thing that sets him vastly apart from other music producers and also explains why his production speed is so fast paced: he literally has savantism, a form of Asperger's. For a psychologically 'normal' person doing what he does is damn near impossible, and that's also part of his draw once you get into his music since so much is released a year. So, does anyone else on Vizzed share my love of this actual savant who's known as Savant? Or am the only one?

I was actually introduced to him by
Pokefreak219 :

She showed me "The Beat", and I had that tune stuck in my head for ages. I like what I've heard, but I haven't had the chance to explore his other tracks.

I think I have heard of this guy in passing, but not more than that. I will go add a few of his songs to my YouTube " Watch Later " playlist here in a bit.

But " Savantism " is a form as Asbergers? I just did a quick look up on it just now, and it seems to me like people with this form of Asberger's have a high mental capacity, and lots and lots of Energy? Is that right?

thing1 : I've never been to one of his concerts (cant afford to fly out of the country just for a show)or to an event he's DJ'd but from what I've read he is very energetic on stage. I'm not sure about other people who have this disorder being energetic, not interested in psychology so I haven't looked it up. But Google, or Bing, or whatever search engine you use must be right. Right? As for the 'high mental capacity' I believe that's part of the reason why he can practically pull melodies out the ether. To the extent of my knowledge people with Aspergers are very, very, smart in a particular area regardless of its form. Just happens this guys has it with music.

Not related to you, just noticed my first post here is messed up. *proceeds to fix*
