Hey there, Monster here. Everyone who knows me KNOWS that I love pro wrestling. But there have been some people that say this:

Pro wrestling is fake and stupid. ONLY PEOPLE WITH AUTISM WATCH THAT CRAP

2 things, Don't use Autism as a insult, It's extremely rude and painful for the people who have it. Plus wrestling is not fake, it's scripted.


Most ignorant people don't think about it. They Just say Wrestling is fake. They don't realise that pretending to go trough a table and Hit congreate floor is not possible. They do dramatize a bit, i'll give ya that. But it still hurts likes crazy.
Also I have some evidence. I have this interview of Lex lugor and A old man Who just assumes that wrestling is fake.

I was aroung 8 to 9 years old, I thought that wrestling was 100 percent real. Not scripted.



I believed in the story lines. But then someone told me: You do know that it is fake and stupid right?



Well i did not really think anything about it and 1 or 2 years later I looked in to it. The thing that got me thinking was a story line. I don't know which But I thought that it was imossible. I looked in to it and I found wwe's parent site. It said that wwe is scripted. So I found the interview. And It was true Wrestling is scripted not fake.

But really, I didn't realize there is a 'story' in WWE till reading this. I knew it was choreographed (how could it not be?) but from how little of it I watch I had no clue there was a story there. I don't insult people who watch it, you find it entertaining then by all means watch, I just don't find it entertaining myself. "Only people with autism watch that," dang son that's actually been said to you? Two of my cousins have autism, whoever said that is ignorant to what autism is or someone you don't want to be around. Don't pay comments like that much, if any, mind at all. Some people like getting a rise out of others, they find their angry reactions funny (heard of trolls?).

I used to watch wwe all the time, and there was a time where I believed everything was real however i found out that most of the events were fake (not the wrestling but the script itself as you said) I am still wondering how they don't end up bleeding after that kind of activity but that's just me. Do not worry about what the others say you are free to like whatever you want. By the way have you played the videogames for WWE those a pretty sweet too. P.S. I remember when I used to be a John Cena fanboy but then I moved to the lone wolf side. Long live Randy Orton

     Pro wrestling IS fake and scripted... do you really think someone id gonna throw a chair at another wrestler. I don't think so. But you can believe what ever you want for now I'm sticking with my opinion.

"scripted" is a good word to describe it.  Wrestling is extremely physically challenging.  The folks have to be actors, they tell a story, they have their own personalities they follow, and then they throw people through the air.  They have to know how to land without breaking things and there is a lot of physics in motion.

I don't care for wrestling and I don't follow it but it certainly isn't fake.  Those people are incredibly strong, they have great control over their emotions and they are all business.  It takes a ton of work to be successful and they are master showmen.  I can appreciate what they do because I can't do any of that.

And they use a lot of pyrotechnics.  And music.  It's a performance, a show, and it's pure entertainment.  

I saw Monday Night Raw at TD Banknorth Garden in Boston once.  I didn't know the characters but I went because my friends were going.  It was super entertaining and I had a blast.  I'm drinking beer, guys are getting thrown around, girls are wearing skimpy outfits.

How can someone not love that?

A good pure example of scripted real wrestling was pre-WWE's version ECW. Imagine bleeding so profusely like that everyday.

imamonster : w-w-wait.... The word "scripted" mean that the fight scene had been programmed? But, it still hurt for the superstars right? And how about when Triple H get slammed with Sledgehammer by Kevin Nash, is that scripted? It makes Hunter hospitalised, isn't that real?

And, one more thing.....
Why did the wrestler fight for belt while they doesn't even wear jeans?

iambima : scripted means that the outcome is pre-determined. It still hurts for the wrestlers but they make it a bit more dramamatical. Sledgehamer shots however are fake. Triple H going to the hospital is also fake. But chair shots and the moves hurt like hell.

I'm glad I'm not the only WWE fan here lol thanks for posting stuff I totally agree with you. Seth Rollins said WWE is by far not fake. Yea they might over react sometimes but that's a little bit of acting getting slammed through stuff is real and they still have to train and eat like a athlete so by far its not fake 

I was told this more than one occasion from quite a few people, but I really didn't care on their opinion, sure when I was young, I did got a little offended, but now being an adult, I view it as their own opinion, and 3/4 of the people that say that, that they hate this sport to the bone, and the remaining 1/4 of the people likes the old style and not the modern era.

I remember one time some guy told me this and I said "So what, the NFL is to, but do you hear me complaining?" When I said that to him, I completely [[insert word here]] his mind and he took off really mad "cue the troll-face".

So, this is how I look at it..

i get sick of people saying that. coming from someone who will watch wresling and for the longest time wanted to actually go into wrestling when he grew up, this just rains on the picnic for me. a very bloody, chair wacking, headlocking picnic.

Okay. Let me help the OP here.

1 WRESTLING IS  scriptED PEOPLE. Seriously people if you think that its fake then I DARE YOU TO TRY REPLICATING IT. "Why do I dare you" you might ask? Because my cousins and I have done it. No joke. But we did it in a Dojo with our sensei watching us making sure we didn't hurt ourselves too much. She even got us a few movie prop tables (the kind that easily break.)

2. I HIGHLY DISLIKE people saying that only people with autism watch it and believe it. I have Asperberger's Syndrome. Its a mental disability that is on the low end of Autism and Bipolar spectrum. So saying that people with autism only watch wrestling, I TAKE OFFENSE TO THAT! I also have a family friend who is Autistic. So yeah, DO NOT SAY THAT AT ALL!

3.I bet some of you out there reading this once believed it was real too so you are basically calling yourself stupid if you say that pro wrestling is stupid. Good job. *slow and low claps for those people*

4. For those people who actually read through the OP's post and did research, you guys get a round of applause. *cheering crowd appears with confetti flying everywhere and balloons falling from the ceiling with sign that says "GOOD JOB GUYS AND GALS"*

So before you say anything about pro wrestling DO THE RESEARCH FIRST BEFORE SAYING ITS STUPID AND FAKE.

scripted = Fake. Pro Wrestling IS fake. That doesn't mean it is stupid, but it is, indeed, fake. In my opinion, pro wrestling is not a sport. It is really just a show and the wrestlers are actors. They are told what to do and they do it. Sure they get hurt, but that doesn't make it "real". In actual wrestling, nothing is scripted. They don't know the outcome before the match starts. It is actually a sport, not just a show. That is the difference. Pro wrestling may be fun to watch, and that is why it is scripted. But that also makes it fake. That doesn't, whoever, make it stupid. I hate wrestling, but I don't think it is stupid because it is fake/scripted/whatever you want to call it.

Here is the bottom line: The reason pro wrestling is fake is because it is more entertaining that way.
