Once a week on every Thursday for this entire month, I plan to create a competition dealing with the Vizzed Minecraft server and in each of those competitions, money and Viz will be up for grabs. For more information on the Vizzed Minecraft Server, go here:

Create the best structure that utilizes Redstone in some way. It can be almost anything just as long as there's Redstone powering something. You can make a booby trap, an obstacle course, a note block song, etc. You can also submit your preexisting structures if they already use Redstone or you can add Redstone functionality to them if you want. No more than 3 structures per a user.

You can make the structure anywhere and you can decide whether or not you want others to have access to using it. If you use a button or a lever to operate your Redstone structure, then only you and users who you manually trust on your lot can operate it. If you use pressure plates, then anyone can operate it.


In order to show off your structure, you must record a video of it in action. You can use Camtasia (probably the best and has a free trial available), Camstudio (free), Xsplit or any other program to record with. You may also edit the video however you want, just make sure it is less than 5 minutes long.

Once you've recorded the video, you'll want to upload it to the Vizzed YouTube page and add it to the game's page in the Video Game Room. You can do this by going to the game's page (link found below) and then scroll half way down the page to the 'Minecraft User Submitted videos' section and click the 'Click to Upload your Video to Vizzed Youtube' link. Once the video has been uploaded, be sure to place a link to it to this thread, otherwise your submission will not count.

Once the competition is over, the staff will vote on which submission they thought was the best. They'll vote based on the quality and presentation of the video, how the structure functions and how the structure looks. The user with the most votes among all their structures wins.


Here are the prizes:
1st: US $25 or 37,500 Viz / MViz
2nd: 20,000 Viz / MViz
3rd: 10,000 Viz / MViz

I can pay you by either PayPal or by buying something online for you. If your structure was built by more than 1 user, than the earnings will be split.

Oh awesome, I already have something like this ready made actually from my Scholar's Tower x3 So do I have to show the redstone wiring behind the scenes? And mine is rather long winded, it travels across two lots, so is it okay if I show my redstone project like that?

Darkpower508 : You don't have to show what makes it work, all you have to do is show that it works. It could give you a greater opportunity to win if you should the details behind how it works though.

I'm not an expert of redstone mechanisms but I have an idea. I would have done my creation anyways but this contest will be a good opportunity. Good luck to all the people who's going to take part to this contest.

I was going to enter my awesome stuff until some guy decided to build a house right next to mine and now I can't finish it. Slightly operable but must be cranked by hand now. Near my Empire State Building and big.

Here is my submission, my Scholar's Tower And Estate secrets! Only the main ones were shown here. Any others were pretty much the same in design (but not in the way to decode them :3), or were small like moving a single slab for a hint. Hope you enjoy them!

Due to the lack of entries, I think this will be the last competition I have for the Vizzed Minecraft Server.

Awww, I'm sad to hear that but you are the one who make decisions for the contests. If you think we should stop the Minecraft servers contests, so be it. I was expecting more submission to be honest. Anything could do the trick as long as it was redstone powered. Oh well, let's hope with the future features, more people will take part to the next contests. Actually, I'm thinking about a possible idea. It could be good or bad but I will make a new mini-game for "The Trial". Probably this week-end. If you need "The Trial" to host a contest (not automatically with the new mini-game), I'm ok with that.

As for this contest... Well, unless some people submit something really quickly, it will probably be a duel between me and my friend Darkpower508.

  This is my build. I decided not to talk and just keep the video short and simple.
