I have never watched any of the Sherlock Holmes shows or old movies, nor have I read a single book. However, I am in love with the Guy Ritchie movies that star Robert Downey Jr.  and Jude Law.

I have watched each of the movies at least 10 times and I found them both to be amazing. For the last year or two, it had been rumored that work would soon begin for the third movie in the series. Of course, since then, Downey has appeared in Iron Man and Avengers, so it was tough, but hopefully I don't have to wait too long too see it.

What are your thoughts on the series and possible 3rd movie?

I like Robert Downey Jr. And I really liked the first Sherlock Holmes movie, but I think the 2nd one was pretty boring in the end if you compare it to the first one, but if they are making the 3rd movie of it I hope it's more like the first one, but maybe even better.

I think I heard a while back that Robert Downey Jr didn't want to do the movies any more.  But I have nothing to confirm this it's just rumors.  

After watching the second Sherlock Holmes I really want a third one!  The whole movie screamed of us getting a third one and it would be great if us fans did get a third movie.

It doesn't really need a third one everything was tied up nicely. The movies weren't amazing but they were good. If they were to make a third movie I don't think it would go to well. Following up a battle with James Moriarty and going to someone with less intellect wouldn't be very enjoyable. Moriarty and Holmes were perfect equals.

I thought the movies were enjoyable and Robert Downey Jr did a fantastic acting job but a third movie would be useless. I think the director didn't plan on doing a third movie and Robert has a lot more movies coming up.

Blubcreator : Well, if they already did not plan on making a 3rd movie, I doubt they would have showed that Holmes was still alive. Turns out, they are alot closer to making the movie now because cast auditions have been going on.

I've read every single book, and seen every movie. Yes, I am a HUGE fan of the series. It was all I really had when my family came to the US. 
And yes, I would love for this to happen. Those movies are awesome, and they don't try to hard to be something they're not. Watched them many times, they still make me laugh. I'm glad other people agree that they should make more.
