I'm writing this because I've met many friends who always say something once in a while, " I wish restaurant 'so-and-so' was here." Well, I'm pretty sure some people have experienced this. At restaurant I really wanted is FIVE GUYS! It is one of the best fast food (with *ahem* high calorie but yummy food) restaurants I have eaten in the US but when I moved to 'Canadia', there are NONE! There's McDonalds but I hate it. So, anyone else had something like this?

EDIT: This also includes restaurants just really far away from where you live!

Hmm . . . I guess for just a general restaurant, the restaurant i wish was closer to where i live is called the CheeseCake Factory. You can already guess that this place has amIng cheesecakes . . . Well it does! The food there is amazing! It is a but expensive but just so worth it. My stomach is grumbling just thinking of the place. From where I live its like an hour away so i dont get to go there often, but when I do, oh my gosh its the best!

There is one I wish was closer. Hickory Park. It is just one barbecue restaurant near where I lived a long time ago. I miss it, they had AMAZING food.

I would also go for 5 Guys. The closest one from me is about 1 bud and 2 trains away, so its like a 45 minute ride if I want something from there

I live in a rural town of about 3,000 people. However, there are NO fast food restaurants in this town, save for a local Mexican place that recently started doing delivery. We don't even have a McDonald's, even though I think this town is big enough for one. Too bad you practically have to be rich to open your own McDonald's franchise, or else I'd start one and quit my crappy job!

The nearest major chain fast food joint is a McDonalds, Taco Bell, and Carl's Jr, all right next to each other by the airport at the very north end of the next town over, about 6 or 7 miles away.

The town I grew up in had about 17,000 people and around a dozen fast food places. My favorite place was Popeyes until it closed down. I always wanted a Sonic there...

Little Tokyo. The best food I have ever had (especially the ramen, I'm drooling just thinking about it). The nearest restaurant takes me about 25+ minutes to get to, and I cannot yet drive. I got my permit last April, and barely drove 10 hours, so I was not ready to take the test, forestalling my ability to drive... Anyways, I rarely get to go there because I am the only one in my family that would eat the food there every day of the week, and my parents always feel like it is too much of an inconvenience to go there. It disappoints me greatly, but I can't do anything. Aside from wishing that the restaurant was closer, that is.

Oddly enough, I've heard of most of the food places mentioned here.  That being said, I can only think of a few that aren't here, but I'm not itching to have them.  There are probably dozens that I don't even know about, though.

Even the ones that aren't readily accessible are still a decent drive.  For example, there is ONE cheesecake factory here, and it's about a 30 minute drive away, which isn't bad.

Now, which one do I want CLOSER?  There's also a Schlotzky's Deli within a 30 minute drive, but I'd love to have one closer. I haven't eaten there for about ten years, but I remember the one time my dad took us kids there, we adored it.  I wonder if they've changed, or what their price margins are.

I know this sounds strange but we need any fast food place that give deliveries!

Nothing delivers here but a really cruddy pizza place that serves probably the worst pizza around!  It's all burnt and see through!  Also it costs $20 a pizza and $5 for a soda!

Would be wonderful to have a Pizza Hut or Dominoes place around here!  We have a McDonalds 30 min drive from here but that place is horrible!  Other than that we have nothing!  Guess it saves on our wallets to just cook at home lol!

Virtually all the restaurants that I care about are close by. Dairy Queen is still 45 minutes away. The one that used to be closest is permanently closed, according to Google Maps

I live in bloomington IL, which is apparently said to have the highest amount of restaurants per capita and we have a whole bunch that have migrated here including Sonic just a year ago, but what I really want here is Fat Sandwich and a White Castle. They're like the only two I love the most

I have been wanted to go to a Hardees for a really long time, but the only issue is that one was was too far away to travel. But now on what I heard that they're going to build one near where I live, that'll get me a change to have something from there.

Really want In and Out Burger to expand past the west coast. I have a Five Guys literally right next which makes it alright but if an In and Out moved into the bible belt, I would probably get diabetes.
