So I have this weird, sharp foot pain towards the upper part of my left foot/towards the toes sometimes.

Like when I put any weight (like touching with finger) on my big, left toe, it would cause CRAZY pain for maybe a minute or so.

When I put my left foot in certain positions, I guess, it causes this pain too sometimes.

Most recenltly, this happened to me while I was lying down, in bed, at night.
I probably kept putting the foot in positions my body doesn't like a few times.
I lost sleep over it!!!
Its happened before too.

Is this normal?
Is there something wrong with me?
Do you get it too?
What is it called?

I plan on going to the doctor about it soon, but is there anything I can do to help prevent it, or make it happen even LESS often?

xxeliza321xx : I suggest going to the doctor as soon as possible. I think that is the best option.

That is pretty odd. I have never heard anyone complain about that before so I have no clue what it is. the only advice I have for you is, go to the doctor and find out what is going on. You may have a real problem, it may be something not too bad but the only way you will know is by swinging by the doctors office. I hate the doctor so I know it stinks but sometimes you have to man.

It sounds like nerve damage.  As suggested best to see the doctor.  If it's nerve damage there is no home remedy all you can do is go to the doctor.

Until then you should try to relax your feet before going to bed by putting them in warm soapy water, put  lotion on them.  Then take some asprin for good measures.

I have similar issues because I am flat-footed, and I also smashed up my right foot in an accident when I was in middle school. It doesn't help that I work in a warehouse with concrete floors.

The best remedy is foot massages, I swear. But if you don't have a boyfriend/girlfriend or a really, really nice friend or family member, good luck getting someone to massage your feet.
