The title says it all! What is your most boring class this semester or in school if you don't go by semesters.

Honestly, my most boring class this semester isn't even a class, it's just a spare period. I usually have nothing to do. I have one friend that doesn't have a class then too but he usually just played games on the computer XD. Math is more exiting than my spare period.

So how about you? What is your most boring class?

This semester? I can't really choose... Everything seems boring except for 2 subjects.

The most boring class for me is library. I'm beginning to wonder if there if there's even a syllabus for this course because all we do is watch random movies and do little quizes that have nothing to do with the course.

I am no longer in school as I have graduated college. But I do remember some pretty boring classes. The one class that was boring to me was English Literature. I just found Shakespeare pretty boring to be honest. I was required to take that class so it was one that I did not want to take. I am a science and math person and my degree was in Biology. I have always just liked Science and numbers. Learning about past plays and Shakespeare was just boring to me. I was so glad when I got that class over with.

My most boring class is called "Fit for Life." It is a combination of PE and health, and I hate them both! The icing on the cake, though, is that it keeps switching location because of its dual nature, and our teacher never warns us so we literally have to go find our class every day. -.-

My most boring class this semester would have to be mathematics, I really have the worst math teacher. I would rather have to learn it online. Everyone hates her.  It's the only class I am willing to fail.

Mine would have to be... World Studies. I actually love history, especially world history, but the teacher tries too hard to connect to modern pop culture in everything. For homework, we had to "write historical twitter updates." Bleh.

Mine would be Chinese class..not so much boring but draining and annoying. Our teacher barely speaks English ever and I can't write the Chinese characters cause my big hands hurt my hand writing and so I get bad grades in it..-.-.

I'm ashamed to say it's my Art class. It's a lecture class, actually. So we don't do any hands on work, but I knew that when I signed up for it. However, I never thought of the lectures to be such a drag.

I mean, I could feel my professor's passion about what he's teaching, and the things that we learn are very interesting... But there's just so many factors that makes it very, very unbearable.

For example, we have the class in an auditorium. Not an actual classroom, so nobody really knows anyone who isn't already their friend in that class. I'm pretty sure not even the professor could mix and match our names and faces.

The lectures are powerpoint based, so the auditorium has to be dimmed in order to see the powerpoint. This kind of gives off a very sleepy environment to the students. My friend nearly fell asleep several times.

For some odd reason, his laptop that holds the powerpoint presentation is always having technical difficulties. This is what makes me unmotivated to write notes in that class anymore. It's odd, because I'm in the same auditorium for a previous class, and my Art class is 10 minutes after my previous class. So I don't have to move anywhere to go from my previous class to my Art class. And my previous class never has any technical difficulties, even though my Art professor says that it's the projector that's messing up and not his laptop.

Finally, we get graded for attending class and taking an online quiz. Since it's an auditorium and not an actual classroom, we pass around an attendance sheet for everyone to sign. As for the quizzes? Literally no studying required. The online quiz has a 'Check' feature in which you can check whether we chose the right answer or not... as many times as we want. So basically, we can literally 'Check' for the right answer on the quiz and get a perfect score without needing to study at all. I'm not sure if my professor knows of this or not, but I am sure that no one wants to risk telling him it.

English. It's an advanced course, but I can't help but feel that it's a huge waste of time. Arguing about the meaning / significance of lines feels like digging too deep into a work. After all, it's completely possible that the author made a mistake. I don't see any use in trying to rationalize illogical statements.

Also, almost every object is discussed as a sexual symbol, which annoys me. If the class was about logic and conveying information, I could understand. On the other hand, I could care less about analyzing works for some obscure meaning that the author supposedly hid.

My "History of Rock and Roll" class.
It's just strange and annoying.
I hate it, I mean why do we have to learn about Rock and Roll anyways?
And here's the biggest kicker; you have to take it to graduate.

I'm going to say Science. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy Chemistry, but it drones on sometimes and she explains things over and over. If ONE person doesn't get it, my teacher goes over the whole thing, repeating what she JUST said. Not only does it drag the notes portion of the class on, but repeating the same thing over DOES NOT typically help someone understand a subject better.

Hmmm, it would have to be algerbra, boring and our teacher is strict and hates kids (Why the F is she a teacher?) From bell to bell we work and get lectured by the ever so pleasant rare exoctic SCREAMING HIGH PITCHED VOICE, and it's the only class I'm failing so, yeah.

DARKANINE : Ah, Chinese class, you brought back some of my memories about it (3 years, Chinese 1-3). Everyday the Chinese teacher would come in and we would try to communicate, but she wouldn't always pick up everything that we were saying because we would either talk too quickly (in English) or she wouldn't know what we were saying because of our native vocabularies. Then there was also the problem of the switching out of Chinese teachers, so ever year there would be a new Chinese teacher, and we would have to re-acclimate ourselves with her. We also had a really obnoxious student in our class, so that was just icing on the cake for the already seriously draining class. Of course, we would go at an extremely slow pace and still barely learn anything. Needless to say, it wasn't that great of an experience.

EideticMemory : Ah English, I know where you're coming from with this. The constant use of symbolism and sexual connotations that every single work just happens to have. Sometimes I feel like the teacher is just making everything up, and that their interpretation is totally incorrect, but I can't really complain since I chose to take the advanced course.

For me, I would have to say either English or Statistics. English class is filled with extrapolations about the hidden meaning behind every single text that we read. The only time I actually like reading a text is when we get a little bit of freedom to decide what book we want to read for independent reading (of course, there's also the part about figuring out the symbolism behind the book, which ends the illusory experience of standard reading). Statistics is also filled with extrapolations, but in a different sense. Aside from finding Statistics boring, I am also terrible at the math behind it, which only adds to the worsening experience of the course (and what's even better is that I have to take the AP test in May). I cannot tell which class I find more boring or irritating, as they're probably at the same level for me.

Gamin'Gal : That's what my math class is like. My friend and are are both above 90% students in that class and we just about die because people don't get the simplest things. I swear, one student didn't know what an X axis was. He explains things over and over again and we can tell that even our teacher is getting frustrated.
