Hey guys so I have done this a couple of times if I'm walking ant talking to a girl I like I slowly move my hand to her's and I try to hold her hand but she just pulls away so have you guys ever tried taking a girls hand or not if you have then share your story

Well no I'm female and I only like guys so I have never done that but I wanted to post here because I have had guys do that to me.. I pulled away but not because I was in a relationship. You have to wait for the right person anyways and holding hands doesn't come until your dating that person.

Yeah, one of them was my ex and another was with a really good friend of mine. It happened on the last day we were going to see each other for a couple years. It wasn't really me though, it was kind of both of us. Haha sounds really cheesy but it was true.

So if you tried holding the hand of a girl who is dating someone else, of course she's going to pull away.  Try something less aggressive like telling her you like her and you think she's pretty and interesting.  That's much better then assuming you can make physical contact and hold her hand.  If you go after a girl and try to force physical contact, like a hug, hand holding, or anything like that, it comes across as offensive.  Most girls won't go for it and they'll pull away and probably get upset at you.  If you know they have a boyfriend, they'll get really upset because you're telling them, through your actions, you don't care what's going on their lives right now.  You're only interested in yourself.

That's a bad thing.

Try talking to them, being friends, and going from there.

I've held the hands of several girls in my time and every time I knew she wanted to before I just went and helped myself.  It was respectful and they appreciate that.

I would have to agree with warmaker, he has a valid point, you don't want to come off as aggressive because you are only thinking of yourself. Take into consideration that she is going out with another guy. I would probably get to know her better and perhaps talk to her and become friends with her before pulling anything like that off, just to be on the safe side. You just can't force these things because most girls won't like it because you are only doing it for you through your body language. Get to know them and be friends first, that is the safest thing to do in my opinion. 

I have ever done this before, let alone even be in a relationship before, so what do I know, I am kind of just going off of what warmaker said while also throwing in my 2¢ hopefully this helps though.

I understood the problem, since I read the title as "taking a girl's hand", since in real life (not movies) it's rarely taking. I'm not going to beat the dead horse, since Razor and warmaker have already explained well.

It does not hurt to try if you like that person. Better try than regret it later that you didn't. I sometimes even grab my friends hand when we are walking.. But that just because I know them and they know it is just for fun. It's a small gesture but it might mean lot to somebody. And if your a gentleman you can always ask before doing so. "May I take your hand beautiful lady?" or something like that..

All these guys are giving good advice.  Be charming, kind, funny, but Confident, and guess what man. She'll be reaching in to hold your hand.

Just kidding. I'm normally too shy to try taking a girl's hand, let alone sit by a girl... let alone sit by anyone other than my only friend. But I had a ladyfriend in 4th grade. We sorta hung out at school and sat next to each other and she laughed at everything I said (it was sorta creepy that she laughed at everything I said). But one time she grabbed my wrist on the last day of school... or was it my hand? I can't remember.

sonic23 : Well in elemantary school. I was THE ladiesman. Lol. I never really had the Feeling i needed a girl. Dont hope its coming. But to answer your question i think i did it once at age 10. But yeah that was age 10.. It was nothing really.

I did hold girls hands, as a little kid when I had to hold hands from the teacher...
But now, I just want to meet one girl, I already said what I do...
If I just randomly meet her theres no way I'll ignore her.
