Just wondering how many people out there have ever skipped one of their classes be it whether you were tired or just plain hate the class. I skip classes about 2 or 3 times a semester mainly just for the fact because I know I probably won't be doing anything productive so I might as well just go home :. I think there's only been one instance where i skipped class just cause I didn't feel like doing anything. It was just one of those days where all I wanted to do was sleep.

No, I go to a smaller school so I couldn't get away with that. When I'm sick for more than a week, I usually take an extra day off when I'm better to complete all the assignments I've missed.

Yes, I skipped a class one time. This was the only time I did. In one of my classes a speaker was going to speak in favor of why we should support Obamacare. I felt like that the class should not have an opinion shoved down their throat. It turns out a lot of us skipped class, one of my friends said only about a third of the class showed up and a lot of them ended up walking out. So that was the only time I skipped

tornadocam : Even if you don't agree, you should always listen to opposing ideas.  They keep you open-minded and you don't have to change your mind.  It's just a thought.

I skipped a few classes my sophomore year of college.  That turned into a huge mistake because I found it was easy to skip classes.  I took a few incompletes, didn't finish school on time and had a disaster of a life trying to catch up to everyone else.  I do blame it on being lazy and playing video games instead of doing the work and getting to class.

If I can have anyone take my example, don't skip classes because you don't feel like it.  It's easy and becomes a habit that's tough to break.  Help yourselves out.

Nope I have never skipped any classes. When I was still going to public before I started homeschooling my school was a lot smaller and you can't get away with things like that or couldn't then unless you were a senior. Obviously I wish I could have skipped all those classes but in stead I had no choice but to push through the year.

Well I should have been more clear in my posts. The day before that lecture our instructor ticked a lot of us off saying how we should be ashamed of ourselves if we did not support Obamacare. We had a good class debate, but he said that we were not being good Christians if we did not support Obama care. So that kind of rubbed a lot of us in the class the wrong way.

I should have posted that was the reason a lot of us skipped. I would have attended had our instructor not said what he did. The instructor later apologized to the class

To be honest, I do my best to try and avoid missing as much school as possible because it just has a bad effect for me. It isn't that I wouldn't want a day off, but I hate falling behind and catching up material and making up for work that I missed for all my teachers on the day I was absent, it is just a pain and a hassle to go through all of that. So that is why I try to avoid missing school to prevent this stuff from happening. Unless I am really sick or I have plans arranged, I don't miss school. Simple as that because I hate falling behind and being piled up with makeup work.

Well I've skipped one P.E lesson, 2 R.E and 1 S.E lesson. Both S.E and R.E because in S.E we were talking about "where orange juice comes from" and I couldn't be bothered going. R.E was because we were having a priest from the local church come in and, according to my teacher, "try to convert us". I'm quite confused about religion at this stage but so far I'm an atheist but I hold no bad feelings towards Muslims, Christians or any religious race- it's your life, you do what you want, just don't judge me and I won't judge you . So I skipped that class cause of the fact that I knew he wouldn't convert me, and the other was basically the same. The P.E lesson was because we were doing Social Dancing and I'm quite shy and so don't know most of the people in my class, so I waited for my brother Karian to get changed so I could just dance with him but he didn't come out for a while so i waited. I then realised it was a quarter of the way into the lesson and too late to join the class, so I shouted Karian out of the boys changing rooms (1. Calm down with the deodorant boys the room smells like an explosion at the Lynx factory and 2. He was skiving as well ) and we sat in one of the huge equipment cupboards and talked. That was all last year, none so far this year

Sorry, this thread has a broader discussion concerning about missing classes, on purpose or not. I'm going to close this.
