There are so many movies that are coming out in 2014, but which ones should you watch? I’m no expert at movies, but I am a master and I am here to tell you about all the top movies that will be coming out this year.

First, let’s start off with the January movies, shall we? Tomorrow, January 3rd Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones comes out. The movie was supposed to come out last October but had been pushed back. If you either did not see the previous installments in the series or you saw them but did not like them, I do not recommend watching this movie.

On January 10th, we see The Legend Of Hercules. This is not the movie everybody’s talking about that stars The Rock, but a completely different film directed by Renny Harlin whose most famous work had been Die Hard 2. I give this movie a 6/10. Also on the 10th, we see Lone Survivor which details Operation Red Wings and stars Mark Walhberg. Its Director, Peter Berg is known for Battleship, Hancock, The Losers, and Friday Night Lights. I give it an 8/10.

On January 17th, we have Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit. This film is based on the Tom Clancy character and stars Chris Pine and Kevin Costner. I have never read any of the books, but the trailers look good and deserve a 7/10. The Nut Job also comes out that day and is an animated Adventure film stocked with stars such as Brendan Fraser, Gabriel Iglesias, Liam Neeson, and Jeff Dunham.? This film also gets a 7/10. The last notable movie that comes out on the 17th, is Ride Along, an Action Comedy film starring Ice Cube and Kevin Hart. The director worked on both of the Fantastic Four movies and it’s the first movie of 2014I plan on seeing. It also gets a 7/10.

On the 24th, we see I, Frankenstein. If you have seen the trailer for this film, you should agree that the graphics look amazing. I have never watched any movie or read any book on Frankenstein, but it still looks really good and I give it an 8/10.

Now we are going to move on to the February movies, on February 7th, The Lego Movie is released. This will be a great movie for any fan of Lego, and for any fan of the film’s stars such as Morgan Freeman, Channing Tatum, Will Ferrel, Liam Neeson, and Jonah Hill. The film is directed by the same guys that brought you Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs, 21 Jump Street, Brooklyn 9-9, and How I Met Your Mother. I give it an 8/10. Also, on the 7th, we see Monuments Men, a Comedy-Drama film set and based during World War II that stars Matt Damon and George Clooney. I also give this film an 8/10.

On February 12th, we get Robocop, the revival of the 1987 film and stars Gary Oldman and Samuel L. Jackson. If you are a fan of the first film, you should definitely watch the remake, and I give it a 7/10.

On the 14th, Vampire Academy is released. This film is based on the bestselling book series and should be watched by anybody who enjoyed the books. Of course, this movie has no place in my life and I give it a 5/10. Winters Tale also comes out on the 14th and is a Supernatural Drama that is based on the book that came out in 1983. The film stars Collin Farrell, Russell Crowe, and Will Smith. Again, I don’t care much and I give the film a 5/10. I saw the trailer for the movie the day that I went to see The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty and I really liked what it looked like, but the plot itself still does not interest me as much as it should. Another movie coming out on the 14th is called Endless Love. I have seen the trailer for this movie a couple of times, and even though it looks like there is a lot of drama in it, it is not the kind of movie for me. It stars Alex Pettyfer and Gabriella Wilde and overall, I also give the movie a 5/10. Yet another movie that is going to come out on the 14th is called Three Days To Kill. This movie is about a dying secret service agent and stars Kevin Costner. I don’t know much about this film, but based on the plot, I give it a 6/10 so far.

On the 21st, we see Welcome To Yesterday, it’s a film about a group of teens that find a time machine. I saw the trailer for this movie and I really liked what it looked like so I give it an 8/10. It starts off with a teen looking at a picture from an old birthday party and he realizes that he sees his reflection in the mirror even though he was sitting at the table next to the mirror, so they go and find a time machine and bad stuff happens, which is the reason for why I like this movie. There is another movie that comes out on the 21st,and it's called Pompeii. It stars Kit Harrington

On the 28th, Liam Neeson is going to star in his third movie of 2014, Non-Stop. The film takes place on a flight where somebody threatens to kill somebody every 20 minutes unless 150 million dollars is put into a secret bank account. Neeson plays a U.S. Air Marshall who attempts to stop this villain, unaware that the secret bank account is his own. I really like the story so I give it a 9/10.

On March 7th, we will see 300: Rise Of An Empire, the sequel to the 2007 box office hit. I never saw the first one so I can’t give an opinion, but by the looks of the trailers, it can only get better. I give it a 7/10. On this day, Mr. Peabody and Sherman will also be released. This film has guest appearances by Mel Brooks, Stephen Colbert, and of course, Patrick Warburton. Warburton is famous in the television world for his roles as Joe Swanson, Kronk, Mr. X, and has appeared in over well known 100 movies, TV shows, and video games. I give it a 7/10.

On March 14th, the Need For Speed movie comes out starring Aaron Paul and Dominic Cooper. The plot of the film details Paul’s character racing across the country to avenge the death of his friend. The film has a very popular background and will have a strong presence. I give it an 8/10. Also on this day, Tyler Perry’s Single Mom Club will be released. I have never seen a Tyler Perry movie in my life, and I probably never will, but if you like his movies, then this one will be a perfect fit for you. I give it a 6/10. This date also sees the Veronica Mars movie, based on the popular TV series starring Kristen Bell. I give it a 5/10.

On the 21st, the Divergent movie will be released. It is based on the book series by Veronica Roth and like most movies that have a popular book background, this film is sure to become a small hit. I don’t care for this film and give it a 5/10. Also on the 21st, we have Muppets Most Wanted and is one of the most star packed movies of the year. Expected cameos for this film include Celine Dion, Lady Gaga, Zach Galifinakis, Hornswoggle, Debby Ryan, and many more. It’s an interesting movie, but it’s mostly for the younger ones and I give it a 6/10.

Now we move on to April, which aside for maybe two movies, is not a really good month to go to theatres. The big movie of the month is Captain America: The Winter Soilder. It’s the first blockbuster of 2014. Any fan of anything that has to do with Marvel will line up to see this movie. I did not see the first one, nor did I even see the first Avengers movie, but I do plan on seeing this one and I give it an 8.5/10. The movie will be out on April 4th.

On April 11th, Rio 2 will be hitting theatres and will have a strong showing of stars. Cast members for the sequel to the 2011 hit include Jesse Eisenberg, Anne Hathaway, Jeorge Lopez, Jamie Foxx, Will.I.Am, Tracey Morgan, and Bruno Mars. I give it a 7/10. The other movie scheduled to be released on the 11th is Draft Day, a football movie that revolves around the Cleveland Browns and stars Kevein Costner. I love sports and sports movies, but I give it a 5/10.

On April 18th, a Johnny Depp movie will be out called Transcendence. Not much is known about the movie, but it’s expected to be a top notch science fiction film. Just from what I hear, I give it a 7/10.

On the 25th, The Other Woman will be released. It stars Cameron Diaz, kate Upton, and Nicki Minaj. Not much else is known about the film and I give it a 5/10 thus far.

Also, it might be a good idea to talk about Fast and Furious 7. The movie was originally supposed to come out during this month, but of course because of the death of Paul Walker, the movie had been pushed back a bit. For a while, there had been a lot of speculation that the series would just be cancelled, but it had been confirmed that the movie will be released during April of 2015 and that they asked Paul Walkers brother to film the rest of the scenes involving Walkers character.

May is when the movies really begin to pick up steam. On May 2nd, The Amazing Spiderman 2 will be out. The first movie in the series has broken multiple records and has grossed almost 800 million dollars total. In addition to Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx and Paul Giamatti will both be featured in this film. I loved the first film of the series so I plan on watching this one and give it a 9/10.

On May 16th, the Godzilla movie will be released and it will be a treat for any Godzilla fan. I have never seen any of the Godzilla movies, but I know that they are quite good and I give it an 8/10. Also on that date, Million Dollar Arm will be released. This is a sports drama film based on real events and is the first sports movie to be made by Disney. I give it a 6/10.

On the 23rd, we have the next X-Men movie, Days of Future Past. As more and more X-Men movies get made, the X-Men timeline gets more and more confusing. This movie will be the first film to incorporate all three X-Men series’. This is because the movie is the sequel to The Last Stand, First Class, and The Wolverine. The movie has a huge lineup of stars and is expected to be an instant hit. I give it an 8/10.

On May 3oth, we see the release of A Million Ways To Die In The West. This is yet another movie with Liam Neeson in it, and it’s going to be very strange, Very strange. This will be a strange movie, because it will be the first to star Neil Patrick Harris, Sarah Silverman, and Seth Macfarlane in the same movie. Let’s not forget that Macfarlane is also the director of the movie. I give it a 7/10.

The first big movie to come out in June will be Edge Of Tomorrow that is based on All You Need Is Kill, a Japanese Novel. The movie stars Tom Cruise and is about a solider put on a suicide mission but ends up basically repeating the same day over and over. This movie is directed by Doug Liman, who is known for his work with Jumper and The Bourne Identity. Edge Of Tomorrow Comes out on June 6th and I might want to see it, so I give it a 9/10.

On June 13th, two good movies come out. The first one is 22 Jump Street which brings back Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum, and Ice Cube for another couple hours of action, drama, and stupidity. I did not see the first movie, but I will see this one and I give it an 8/10. The second movie to come out on the 13th is How To Train Your Dragon 2. This movie brings back Hiccup and Toothless. I saw the first movie and I really liked it, but in my opinion, too much time had passed between the two movies for me to keep interest. I might see it, but I might not and I give it a 6/10.

Two movies come out on the 20th. The first is The Purge 2 and unless you really liked the first movie, I highly suggest you don’t see this. The second movie is Think Like A Man Too, and I don’t suggest this one either. For both movies, I give a 5/10.

On the 27th, we see a movie that’s pretty much guaranteed to hit a billion dollars. Transformers 4: Age Of Extinction.? This will be the first film of the series to not star Shia LaBeouf. Instead, Mark Wahlberg will portray a single dad in this one. The film will again be directed by Michael Bay, and it will be produced by Steven Spielberg. So far, it has been speculated that this film will be a darker version of Dark of The Moon, which I have never seen, but because Dark of The Moon was so popular at the box office, this stamen makes me want to see this movie. I give it a 9/10.

That’s about it for now, 6 months worth of movies is enough, I will work on the second half of 2014 later on. For now, tell us which of these movies you want to see, and if you have a different grade for some of the movies, tell me what grade you would give them.

Now, I also believe that it’s time to tell you about my 2014 New Year’s Movie resolution. I saw so many movies last year, 22 in total, but this year I want to break that record. For this year, I want to see at least one movie every month of the year. Each month, there will be a definite movie of the month which will be the main movie for that month, and then there will be a few side movies for that month which I may or may not see depending on certain circumstances such as school, money, and laziness.

My main movie for January is Ride Along and my side movies are Frankenstein and Lone Survior. My main movie for February is Non-Stop and my side movies are Monuments Men, and Robocop. The main movie for March will be Need For Speed and the side movie is Mr. Peabody and Sherman.

The main movie for April is Captain America and at the moment, there is no side movie. The main movie for May is Amazing Spiderman 2 and the side movie will be X-Men, but only if my friends drag me to see it. The main movie for June will be Edge of Tomorrow and the side movies will be Transformers and 22 Jump Street. If I see all these movies, my 2014 total would be at 14, which is a really good half way point.

Even though I'm going to see all these movies, it does not mean that I really like all of them. Of these 14 movies, maybe there are 3 to 5 that I think are really good and that are worthy enough for me to go and see. In reality, Non-Stop, Edge Of Tomorrow, and maybe the Amazing Spiderman 2 are the only ones that I really want to see.

Also, if you would like a more in depth review of a movie that will be coming out, just tell me which movie you would like to see.

I'm not nearly as much into Movies as I am into Television shows, so the only one I could recognize is Amazing Spiderman II. Didn't really like the first one, I guess I'll see how the second one goes. Also, how are you rating the movies without having seen them?

Nice summary!

I want to watch almost all of those movies! I am huge on movies way more than TV shows it seems. I do enjoy TV shows but I find myself watching more and liking more movies. Almost all of your summary interests me sense I didn't know half of these movies were going to be coming out this year! Nice Work!
