The story is about Dr. Wily wanted to get revenge on Mega Man for beating him in the last game and made 8 new robot masters to try and stop him, so it's up to mega man to stop him and save his family, or Dr. Light.

Gameplay:

The gameplay is like the first, mega man jumps and he shoots but the controls are a lot smoother in this game than the first, Mega Man doesn't slide around as much like he did in the first game and he's no slow going up ladders. The mega Buster witch is Mega Man first weapon when you push the B button works well and responds well, jumping is the same but you don't slide everywhere when landing, you still drop like a rock though. Now the new 8 robot masters, first up is Bubble Man with a very trippy backround, the backround hurts my eyes a bit but not painfully bad, the first enemy you face is a frog that shoots mini frogs that hop on you. But the worst part about the stage is the underwater section when spikey balls are everywhere and there annoying to dodge carefully because jumping in the water makes you jump higher, so don't jump to high. Bubble Man just shoots bubbles at you, the ability you get after beating him is the bubble shooter witch shoots bubbles and travels along the ground. Air Man's stage has platforms that look like a Head with enemies and drills, plus clouds are in the way of some platforms make screw you over. Air Man shoots mini tornados at you witch are sorta annoying to dodge and they blow you back to, the ability you get when you beat him is a tornado witch shoots straight and then goes up. Quick Man's stage is the worst stage in my opinion, if you have Flash man's ability it shoulden't be to bad, but the worst part is during the middle of the stage where giant fast moving rectangle things kill you in one hit so if you mess up you're done, Quick man is annoying to hit because he moves to fast, get Flash Man's ability then take him down with the mega buster. The ability you get is a quick boomerang witch doesn't have good range but a fast attack. Heat Man's stage has enemies that fall from the sky and lava that kills you instantly, the worst part is the disapearing platforms witch you need great timing in order to not fail, but if you have item 2 it shoulden't be bad... what is this item #2? You get items 1-3 beating certain robot masters, item one is a platform the floats in the air for 5 seconds, item two is a hover board that flies straight until you run out of ammo for it, and item 3 is a platform that move up and down on walls for 7 seconds. Anyway heat man is annoying if you suck at dodging like me. But beating him gives you a charge fire beam witch i never use because it takes forever to charge. Wood Man's stage is pretty harmless, except for the cats that shoot fire at you. Wood Man shoots leaves at you and leaves fall from the ceiling and hurt you, leaves of death people. When you beat him you get a leaf shield witch protects you from enemies and projectiles until you move, i use it one a moving platform in the Wily stages. Metal Man's stage has conveyor belts that has differnet directions, Metal Man throws blades at you witch a pretty easy to dodge and you get the best ability when you beat him. You get the metal blade that shoots in 8 directions and has a ton of ammo. Flash Man's stage has platforms that make you slide but nothing to bad except these mechs that hop around and shoot you. Flash Man is the easist boss ever, hitting him with the metal blade 5 times takes him down, his ability freezes the stage for 10 seconds to get some annoying parts like Quick Man. Ugh there's more x wheeze x, Crash Man's stage is pretty forgettable, i don't even remember the stage that well, all i remember is a bunch of ladders and birds. Crash Man shoots bombs at you that go off quickly, but if you use Air Man's ability it shoulden't be to hard, the ability you get is the crash bomber which lashes to walls and exploads. I wont talk about the Wily stages since it's sorta spoilerish.

Graphics:

The graphics look great, everything is colorful and vibrant, except with the sprite flickering and the waterfall and lava graphics. The animation for characters look good, not great, they seem a little to choppy in some areas like Heat Man's stage.

Music/Sound:

The music is great, everything fits great in every stage, the title theme is great, Wily stage 1-2 is awesome, you just need to listen to it to know it's great. The sounds fit every attack and jump, the metal blades sound like blades being thrown, fire sounds like fire, and water sounds like water.

This game is great with great music, ok level design, good power ups, and a good story.
