Hey Guys! After quite a bit of typing, and more than a little thinking, I've come up with this! I spent quite a while on it, so please do me the honor of reading through it (especially if you're a newbie)! I'll go through a bit of a list of rules for the older members, and then I'll go really in-depth afterwards for newer members! Enjoy! Vizzed Market Rules Do not create a Viz bank without Moderator approval. Do not attempt to trick people into accepting unfair offers. Do not create a loaning thread without Moderator approval. Do provide as many details as possible when selling an item. Do understand that Moderators get the final say. If we believe an offer is unfair, we may contact you about it or close your thread without warning. Do not cheat other people out of Viz or fail to complete a transaction without a good reason and notification to the other party (and, if applicable, also mentioning it in the thread). Do consider all facets of deals you may make, such as shipping and weight of packages. Consider this in your price. Do enjoy yourself here. I’m not writing this thread to ruin your day, but rather to keep this forum fun, honest, and as conflict-free as possible. Do not violate any other Vizzed Board rules. Local Mods of this forum may be PM’d with any questions regarding this forum. Moderators, please feel free to edit this as necessary. Now, for the part I'm really pleased with! I spent quite a long time on this section, please don't just skip it over! Understanding Vizzed Market The purpose of this forum is, as its name might suggest, to deal Viz with other users in a market setting. I realize that could be a little confusing, so I’ll do my best to explain it here. In this forum, any user may trade Viz or an item for either Viz or an item. That means that you (yes, you) are allowed to offer a fair amount of Viz for almost anything you want (keeping the site rules in mind)! If you’ve got an item you don’t want/need, and want to sell it, you can also offer it for Viz or another item here! As an example, let’s say that I had a $20 XBOX gift card, but my XBOX broke and is now worthless. I’ve decided that “Hey, I bet someone else could use this”, so I create a thread offering my $20 gift card for some Viz. Now, what amount of Viz should I be asking for? There are a few different options, so I’ll go through them quickly. First, you could offer it at an auction. When offering it at an auction, you set a starting price and allow other users to bid against each-other. All that’s needed from you is a starting price (remember to set a price you’re ok with gaining from the transaction, in case the auction isn’t as popular as you expected) and an ending time. When the auction ends, simply complete your transaction with the highest bidder, and you’re done! The second way to sell that $20 XBOX gift card would be to simply set a price and wait for someone to snag it! Keep in mind that the Viz-to-USD (USD is United States Dollar) ratio is 1,000 Viz per $1. That means that the minimum you should either ask for or offer for this $20 is 20,000 Viz. Usually, you can get away with asking for a bit more than that though. What if I had as much Viz as tRUINE though, and certainly don’t need more? Well, I could offer this $20 XBOX gift card for another item! Let’s say, for example, that I had been wanting a $20 PSN (playstation network) gift card for my birthday, but I got this $20 XBOX gift card instead? I could create a thread, offering my $20 gift card for another item! If I wanted, I could instead offer my gift card for an item of lesser value and ask for Viz as well. I could even ask for money, though this isn’t quite as likely to be successful. This certainly isn’t limited to gift cards though! Almost anything you have may be offered, but keep your expectations in check. Depending on the item, you may not get any offers or sales. It’s worth a shot though! In addition, you may also create threads asking for items. For example, I could create a thread that offers Viz for a $20 PSN gift card (or anything really). Don’t forget the viz-to-USD ratio, and you may need to offer over 20,000 Viz to gain interest. One final think I’ll mention on the subject is that you may offer Viz for services. For example, Layout creating is a service you may perform for others (Trusted Member status required). You may make a thread offering Viz for custom art, for custom music, or nearly anything else (provided it’s legal and within Vizzed Rules)! This can go the other way though. You can also make a thread offering your artistic skills, your superb music making, or nearly anything else! Remember though, family friendly! Oh, I almost forgot! When completing a deal, addresses should ONLY be exchanged via PM with the user you’re dealing with. If you are a minor, remember to ask your parents before giving away personal information such as an address! In Vizzed Market, you may also give away Viz if you so choose. How do you do that? Simply by going here, and giving Viz to people who ask! If you’re short on viz, and really want that Netplay item (note: not limited to netplay item), you can post at the linked thread asking other generous users for some! Vizzed Market is also home to the many different Layout Shops here on Vizzed. Each user has their own unique style, so be sure to check them all out for the style you like best! Each of our layout shop artists are sure to be creative and good at what they do, so I’m sure you’ll enjoy your new layout! For the rules on Layout Shops, click here. For a directory to the current layout shops, click here. A layout is basically an image on the back of your posts, like the background on this post. PM the Vizzed Market Mods if you want a layout shop, while keeping in mind the limit for Layout shops is 5 and you must be Trusted or higher. Be sure to check for the amount of layout shops, and if there’s 4 or less you may apply. If you have any concerns or wish to report an unfair transaction (highly unlikely, but still throwing this out there), be sure to contact the Local Mods of this forum with screenshot-proof if possible. The more info you provide us with, the better we can help! Have I listed all the things you may do here? By no means! I haven’t even mentioned Competitions (RGR competitions are held here, these competitions aren’t generally gaming competitions) or the idea of lending viz (Vizzed Market moderator approval required). I’m just mentioning the more important or relevant things, please feel free to PM me or any Vizzed Market moderator for more info. If you’re unsure on whether a thread is allowed, please either refer back here or PM a Vizzed Market mod. If you've gotten this far, you're done! Thank you so much for taking the time to read through this, and I hope it's been helpful! I know I've mentioned this too many times before, but please please please PM the Local Mods of this forum if you've got any questions regarding this thread or the forum. Thank you, and have a fantastic day! Vizzed Market Rules Do not create a Viz bank without Moderator approval. Do not attempt to trick people into accepting unfair offers. tgags123 : The mods of this forum (me currently, lol) know that they're not currently allowed (or at least we've rejected the last couple askers). If, one day, we decide to allow them, now we won't have to change the rules here. |
