This isnt a new problem and frankly i think it will always be one.
Some people dont see it as cheating, or breaking the rules. Maybe it isnt. But equally certain individuals took advantage of 'tabbing' when the tdv first started.
It wasnt against the rules but it was certainly against the spirit of fair competition.
So is the deliberate spam.
I dont see the point of competing if you do it, because all you achieve is to destroy the worth of the achievement.
You knock off the people who made a genuine effort, and as far as im concerned, the month ends with no victor.
Iv seen plenty of people act like they have achieved something great and known that someone else ought to have won.
It begins to feel like twitter, with threads for people to discuss the most pointless things.

I'm glad today was a lot better. I still saw a lot of pointless threads being made, but it wasn't enough to make me want to rip my hair out. Yesterday was miserable.

geeogree : Look around and you will know who it is.

I think I already said something about it being weird that a site rewards spamming. Well, if the idea was that people would be more active it was nice but hey, seriously.

Brigand : Hahaha. You just summed up the conversations that have been going on in the absolute best possible way. LOVED it!

It's tour de vizzed's fault new members join up just to win the jerseys, when this happens people will spam big word counts and lots of unnecessary posts. 

UFC : You know, you got a good point, this being TdV month, a lot of people are going to make a lot of spammy threads and posts just to win a jersey or a banner, especially someone's 1st TdV, a lot of those users are going to post a lot of unnecessary posts and threads just to gain a couple points for the White/Rainbow banner.

IgorBird122 : yep and seems as though that spammer zanderlex with his white and rainbow jerseys has finally been kicked to the curb and banned.   

UFC : Yeah, but that wasn't due to spamming. Turns out that pretty much every story that he claimed was his was plagiarized from another site. What made it worse is that he made up all these detailed elaborate stories about how he came up with the ideas for these stories to make it seem more legit. It worked. Nobody thought to check it because of the stories he made up. Only reason he was caught was because he made a thread entitled 15 jokes that had 15 different very long joke stories, and I knew I read them before. So it made me start checking back on everything else, and low and behold they were all plagiarized. Pretty much over half of his super long posts that gave him multiple first places on Red and Yellow were achieved by cheating. 

rcarter2 : oh jesus all for an online daily jersey, that happened in the last one too with copied megaman reviews and megaman jokes and interactions at the end of every review that were all the same

I remember that guy, he made about 3 or 4 7,000 word megaman walkthroughs or something in about 10 minutes and it was obvious they were plagerized. I swear, the things people will do to win a jersey, it is ridiculous.

Then there was that one guy with his 36,000 word review or something last Tdv and he almost got away with it until the end of the day. It was absolutely nuts what he did.

I know I am not good with stories so I do walkthroughs and reviews instead because I am good at them. So that is how I win red or yellow.

But yeah I am tired of the pointless threads people dedicate just because they can't make a post anywhere else. Its ridiculous.

I know it's not against the rules, but I really, really, really hate it when people copy paste stuff they've ALREADY written just for getting a jersey.   People like me who have real life jobs and all.... we work hard to get 2k-3k words in. We put emotion and effort into it. And sometimes we lose sleep.

I know sometimes it takes me 7 hours just to make one of those posts because I'm working on it between all my other obligations.

The someone with pre-written stuff just takes it away in the five seconds it takes to copy paste something to vizzed.

It makes me not want to try any more.  EVERY day this month has been like that.  I don't think I'm going to even waste my efforts any more.

Again, I know it's against the rules, but I don't think I can EVER view it as fair.

I think that pretty much the topic of this thread has been all discussed out. For a couple days, it has been very far off topic. I think this thread is done.
