Chapter 4 is here! When I last left off, goodboy figured out all about the Things and their supernatural powers. He was shocked, and mostly stood there like an idiot the whole time! Now, let's start.

Chapter 4: My Inner Self

So, what they're telling me is, I'm some demigod.

Lovely.

"Are you kidding? Me? Supernatural powers? You've got the wrong guy. All I am is some dude that escaped from an orphanage," I say.

"Nope. Not really. You're a teenage superpower who was told in hieroglyphics. Nothing is more official than that," said Supernerd, a super genius who had recently had a child. What did they say his name was? PixelBlock or something?

"No, I'm not. I'm just some kid who's on the run from an old man. Heck, I didn't even try to meet you... Things!" I yelled. Something must have happened as I said that, since Singelli and tgags stepped back. Tgags then whispered to Singelli about something. She nodded and grinned.

"Easy there, Tiger. You need to calm down. Your heart signature is through the roof," she says.

I don't know what I was feeling. Mainly rage and confusion, that led me to say, "Shut it! Just shut it! I don't care anymore!"

"Calm down. My mind hurts..." she said.

As I said that, I lunged my arm towards Singelli for a punch. What happened was a complete blur.

I lunged it forward, and a giant fist made of fire shot right towards Singelli. All she did was stand there, grin, and teleport to tgags. Tgags proceeded to send it back at me and it punched me square in the forehead.

"Nngh... What the..." I manage to let out.

"Nice, Singelli. You managed to anger him quite quickly," tgags said with a grin.

Singelli chuckled. "It's sort of fun, knowing that he's secretly my brother and all."

I had enough willpower to talk now. "I'm... What just... What happened? I just tried to punch her and...?"

"You used my power? Yeah, sort of goes to show how YOU were wrong and WE were right!" tgags said mockingly. "Just kidding. But we told you so."

"Whatever," I rolled my eyes. "So what? I have some power. It's not like I'm going to actually help you--" I tried to say until I was cut off by a rumble.

"What was that?" said FunnyFurret, shapeshifting into a ferret.

Rumble...

"Hm?" I take notice into the rumbling.

Rumble...

"Oh, gee, oh no..." said Supernerd.

Boom!

What proceeded was gut wrenching.

A human-like thing broke through the roof of the base and shot blasts of electricity around him. Another Thing, it seemed to be. But... It was attacking us. It was giving off a dark aura and had black wings... It appeared to be a human, though. It had red eyes and proceeded shots. One nearly hit Singelli, which made her teleport near and punch him straight in the forehead. Proceeding with that was Supernerd, who hit the evil Thing right in the mouth with correct calculation. Tgags ended it off with a blast of rushing fire, making the Thing disappear into thin air.

"What... What was that?" I asked.

"That... Was Barathemos' minion. Although, it was one out of over half a million. Those things are riddled throughout Earth. They're basically Things... with evil injected into their souls like a shot," tgags says. "We need to be really careful."

Yeah, no kidding. No one was hurt, but... Where was FunnyFurret? Mistress, the telekinetic of the Things, asked.

"Hey, knightboy, was it, where's FunnyFurret? I remember you standing next to him," she says.

"...Yeah, where did he go?" tgags asked too. "I saw him transform after that first rumble."

Razor-987 looked terrible.

"Um... Yeah, tgags forgot to tell you, but I can read minds. And I just read Furret's. We're having a mind-conversation..." Razor-987 says.

"Yes, so? Continue..." tgags says.

"He may have been kidnapped. By that one attacker just now," he says. "We may have to go rescue him."



Great.

Yeah. That's how it ended up. Confusing, I know. I'm sorry. It'll get much better while saving FunnyFurret!

Kind of a bit rushed, knightboy. I can't even tell where my character's location's at. I'm going to guess that she isn't with the rest of the 'Things' and used her telekinetic powers to be able to see what was going on around them and communicate with the other members.

...That's just based on my guess, though.
