Hello Vizzed users and welcome to another tgags123 review! As I was adding games to my Game Collection, I noticed that the Video Game Room has PlayStation Vita games now. So I decided that I want to review them since none of them have reviews. This review is about a PS Vita game that wasn't as good as I had hoped it would be. The game is called Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified. It is the PS Vita version of the popular Black Ops game in the Call of Duty series. Now that we have an introduction out of the way.... let's start with the review!

Overall (8)

I was very excited to get Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified for my newly acquired PS Vita system. I immediately popped in the game and started playing. But then I realized something. It was nowhere near as good as the Black Ops game for the PlayStation 3. It didn't have the same feel, was lacking in a lot of areas, and just wasn't as fun. I am not saying it isn't a good game, but it is disappointing for people that have played the Call of Duty games on the PS3 or Xbox 360. This game may have it's cons, but it definitely has it's pros too.

Graphics (10)

It is hard to find a PS Vita game with bad graphics. The Vita has the best graphics of any video games system I have ever seen. The picture is very sharp and clear. The characters are extremely well-detailed and a wide variety of colors are used. The background, as well as the foreground, is extremely detailed. This game looks very realistic. The characters movements are not choppy or robotic looking. Everything about this game looks great and is very detailed.

Sound (9)

The sound is awesome in this game too. You can footsteps, whether they are your own or your enemy's, you get messages from "HQ' about what is going on in the game, and each gun has it's own unique and realistic firing sound. You can hear people grunt when they die. Just overall good, well placed sound. The music during loading screens and menus is pretty good too.

Addictiveness (7)

This game doesn't give you that strong feeling that you have to play again, but you will probably come back to it. I have played it around 10 to 12 times. I might come back and play it again in the future. It is pretty addictive, but there are a lot of other PS Vita games that are more addictive and I am more likely to play again than this one.

Story (N/A)

I decided not to put a rating for story. There isn't really a story like there is in the PS3 and Xbox Call of Duty games. There is no campaign mode, but there are single player missions that you can do that sort of follow a story, but not enough for me to give it a story rating. The fact that there is now campaign mode is another reason why I am not the biggest fan of this game.

Depth (7)

There is a decent amount of things to do in this game, but definitely not as much as the regular, non-Vita, version. There are three game modes: Single Player, Hostiles, and Multiplayer. Single player is a bunch of missions that you can complete. Hostiles is the same thing as Survival on Modern Warfare 3. There are a bunch of enemies and you have to try to kill them all and survive for as many waves as you can. Multiplayer is the same as the regular version. You play online with other players with the choice of six maps and five different game modes. Aside from there being less maps and multiplayer games, there are other things missing also. Anyone notice that there is not campaign? That's right. No campaign mode. There are missions, but no campaign. No actual story to follow or continue from the previous games. There is also no Zombies mode. Black Ops games are known for the Zombies mode, but apparently Treyarch decided to copy the Survival game mode from MW3, rename it, and put it into Black Ops Declassified. This is one of the things that disappointed me the most. I really wanted to play Zombies on my PS Vita, but you can't.

Difficulty (9)

You really cannot rate the difficulty on a game like this that has more than one game mode. I rated it a 9 because of a few factors. The first one is the controls. The controls are much more difficult than the PS3 and are a lot harder to master. They involve the top buttons, touching the screen, and touching the back of the Vita. The missions are pretty hard too and so is the Hostiles game mode.

So I guess it's time for a conclusion now. This game isn't bad, but will definitely disappoint Call of Duty players. It is a pretty fun game, but is not as good as the games for the PlayStation and Xbox. The graphics are outstanding, and the sound is pretty impressive as well. This game lacks some of the most fun Call of Duty game modes such as Zombies and Campaign and has less maps and multiplayer games than the console versions. The controls are pretty annoying and hard to learn and the game is pretty hard overall. In the end, it is still a pretty fun game that I recommend trying out. If you have a PS Vita, go ahead and see if they have it at the nearest Game Stop or Best Buy. However if you do not have the Vita, do not get it specifically for this game, because it isn't as great as it could be.

Thanks for reading my review, I hoped you like it. I hope I wasn't too boring and I helped you out a bit. Any comments or tips are greatly appreciated. This is also my first review using my review layout, so I would appreciate tips on that as well. Thanks again!

Finally finished reading this huge review, and may I say, nice job. Each category is really good, and the introduction was splendid. I agree with most of your points, as well. Just like the graphics, this review was clear, sharp, and you didn't sugarcoat the worst parts.

Awesome job.

Oh no! Not tgags again!!!

This is a good review. You gave us a good rundown of the game, and explained it well. Good job.

I've always found most games that start out on a console and got ported to a handheld to be rather disappointing. I think Handheld games should be handheld, and console games should be console. No porting. lol

Thank you both! I think I am improving a lot with my reviews. I used to struggle to reach 500 words and now I am reaching 1,000 without a problem!
