There's been a lot of rumors about Ridley being in the next Smash Bros game. You know Ridley, that dragon-like metroid that you fight in Metroid Prime? Part of the rumor is that people are complaining about his size because it was shown Ridley was giant. Frankly, I'm having trouble believing this. I've looked at all the OFFICIAL videos for Smash Bros 4. No Ridley. Just Villager, MegaMan, and Wii Fit Trainer. And Ridley just isn't fit for a Smash Bros game.

Do you think this is true?

I think the only time and way they would only add Ridley to the game if they do bosses and stuff like they did in Brawl. Ridley would just be a boss and that's that. Despite him being a big trademark enemy next to the Metroid, Ridley doesn't have to be included in everything. At this point I would just see keep your eyes and ears open. There may be rumors but they could turn out true or false and only time will tell. I personally can't see Ridley being someone playable but you never know, I guess.

Just thinking that Riley being a playable character in the next Super Smash Bros. is a bit ridiculous to be honest.
I doubt that the stages in the game wouldn't be as big as we think it is maybe just more to the stages just the same size.
In fact the size of Riley would cover the entire screen unless they shorten it turning Riley into a sprite but I'm sure fans would dislike that.

I think I have read the confirmation that it is false. But just to clarify. You said Ridley was a 'dragon-like' metroid. Ridley wasn't a metroid at all. Ridley was one of the leaders of the Space Pirates that stole the last known existing metroid. His first appearance was in Super Metroid for the SNES.

It would be cool if there was a mode like Classic where each character has to fight a canonically relevant boss instead of Master Hand. Like Mario and Luigi could have Giga Bowser, and maybe Ganon, Ocarina final boss form of course, could be Zelda and Link's boss. Probably won't happen though, but it would make a cool hack for sure.
