Okay, so as a really small number of people know, I've started to create layouts. But, one problem is -- I spend entirely too much Viz uploading pictures with the correct dimensions and KB.

So, my question is this.

How can I tell if a picture I upload is going to be the correct requirements?

Like, I uploaded a 500 x 500-ish picture the other day, and it turned out much smaller.
How can I know if it'll upload correctly?

I find my pictures on Google Images. There is an option to view more sizes. I always click that and select the biggest size. I look at the size of it (in KBs). I upload the biggest one that is 250 KB or under.

tgags123 :

I knew about the Google thing. I knew there were more sizes, too. But how can you view the size of it in KBs? If you can answer that for me, I'd be grateful.

goodboy : There is probably an easier way, but I save it then go to My Pictures (or wherever you saved it) and view its properties. I think the Layout Master would know best so I will summon her for you.

TornadoMudkip : You have a lot of experience with uploading pictures. What is the easiest way to view the size (not the dimensions, but the amount of KBs or MBs) of a picture?

tgags123 :

Okay, thanks. I'm gonna see if TornadoMudkip has anything to say first, just in case there's a way without taking up so much space and memory in my folders. If not, I'll use your method.

goodboy : Of course the Layout Master knows something about this.

For finding pictures, just use Google for searching pictures. Never forget that Google is your best Friend.
Most times if you type in something with "Wallpaper" you can see some different sizes. There are many sizes and 500 x 500 is really small.
I highly recommend to use 1024 x 768 pictures. Most times they fit for a Post Layout and have a low KB. Even pictures with a little higher size. < But 1920 x 1080 is a little too big, most times the KB is very high.

Checking sizes? Really easy way to do. Just go to the place where your picture is saved and click only one time on it. If it's good you can find how many KB your picture has. I don't know what kind of PC you have. Maybe it works different on your PC. Also if you try to upload it to Vizzed and it doesn't work. It would be pretty sure that the KB size is too big. If a picture is uploaded you also can check on the page of your picture for the KB size. It's written in there as well.
For making the KB thing smaller, you need Paint, also a great Friend of yours.
There is a button in Paint, where you can make Pictures smaller and also the KB goes down.
I should say, it's handy to make it only a little smaller first and then save it again and check how many it has right now. Like making it 95 % both sides.
One negative point, sometimes goes the quality down. Pizap.com is also very handy to use. You can edit photo's and pictures there + the most times if a picture is done, the KB size isn't really big and the picture has still it's quality.

Lol I guess this is enough to know. Feel free to ask me anything if you need more help.
