On Pok?mon Ash Gray beta 3.61

Okay so I went and got haunter but he disappears; my guys are level 20 but they get beat before I can attack, what should I do?

Should I train more or should I try a different gym and come back?

Quinn and Valor : Training your Pokémon more should help. I also can give you some tips. (I think you can go to the next gym yet. You need to beat this one first.)

1 ~ Be sure that your Squirtle or his/her evolutions learns Bite, it's super effective against Kadabra.
2 ~ NEVER let your Charmander evolve, if he/she does, the Pokémon won't listen to you sadly.
3 ~ Buy a lot Potions, that always helps. You can also try to make the Pokémon paralyzed or poisoned.
4 ~ Be sure to have a very fast and strong Pokémon, with this you can defeat Kadabra easy, because Kadabra's defence isn't that high.

I see; thank you. I will try that, the game glitches on me and I now have to start all over again; when I get to that point I'll remember this.  

Do you know why haunter disappears at the beginning of the fight? I don't understand why you go through all that trouble to get him and when you need him he vanishes on you.
