Nah, I get my games from my dad, in cartridges. None in boxes, not a lot to say at all.

Yes I have tons of boxed games. Out of my 300+ Genesis games I would say over half are complete and 20% (maybe less) just in box. All but a few of my 32x and Sega CD games are boxed. When I first started collecting I just bought cart only because it was much cheaper but when I started getting more serious about my collecting (about a two years ago) I started trying to get as may games as I could complete.

This is totally off topic but I don't know how I over looked this forum! I love collecting and now I have a place to go on and on about it!

The only boxed retro games I own are Dig Dug for the A2600 and Family Circuit for the Famicom. Both include the instruction manual and all other inserts.

If you mean boxed as in the case, then yes, all of mine are from the store or bought online. I don't buy used or pre owned video games unless I can't find it anywhere else and it is in really good condition, I won't take anything that is broken down or in bad condition. But as for actual boxed video games, I don't think i have any of those. Most of mine are for my 3ds and wii and stuff like that.

But yeah, I buy all of my stuff new, never in used or borrowed condition because most of the time it is old and scratched up.

I have a couple of boxed video games .. The Sims 1 with a couple of expansion packs with it.. but it is missing the code to download it.. I also have a couple of anime games still wraped and sealed.. I think it's so much cooler when you have things still brand new especially if it's an older game or you don't have many.

None of my NES, Super NES, or N64 games are in the box (all of them are "loose"), but all of my GBA, DS, and Wii games are in their original box/case. I wouldn't mind having a few boxed games for the older systems, but I don't really think I'd have much luck finding any (unless I looked for them online).

I have never been a fan of keeping games boxed and in mint condition. To do something like that would cause a lot of temptation and ruin that insane price tag and play it.
To me, you have the complete game it is fine. You can play it and it can still be worth a pretty decent amount depending on the game.

I play every game I get since it would feel like a waste to buy a game and not play it. I feel sentimental playing an old game, not by owning the box. All games I buy come in boxes but I never keep the boxes in perfect condition. It's about the game itself. That's why I love using ROMs on emulators just as much as owning the real game.

I have Zelda II and LoZ: OoT boxed and CiB, (boxed and instructed, I mean) and in great condition.

Otherwise, all of my retro games isn't boxed, I just buy them as is, unless I see a boxed offer then I grab that.

But if you do count modern games, then yes, I have ALL of my PS3, DS, PC, PS2, etc in CiB.

As far as older games go (anything that did not come in a plastic case), unfortunately, I do not have any. I used to try to keep around the boxes for my Game Boy Advance games, but my parents would just tell me to get rid of them so that we could save space. Personally, I wanted to keep hold of them forever, and the aesthetics were really nice, but sadly, I had to dispose of every last box. In terms of newer games though, I have a boxed Collector's Edition for Tales of Xillia, if that counts.

Actually, I do. Most of my collection is boxed.
My old cartridge games, All the ones so far except for the Genesis aren't boxed, And I hope to come across a boxed retro game one day that I can afford.
My entire PS1 collection is also loose.

I'd estimate that out of all my games, I probably have about 50 boxed games.  Almost all of them from the NES, SNES, Gameboy, Gameboy Color, or Gameboy Advance. (I'm not counting anything PlayStation, Xbox, or any of the Nintendo systems starting with the GameCube.  Almost all of which are complete with case and instructions.)

I have Driver 2 for the Game Boy still in its box. I still haven't even opened it. I am going to get a box protector for it, and then I may finally open up the game. It is my only boxed game, out of my many games.
