Here are two easy ways to get a high score in dig dug.

First:Tunnel of doom
Simple yet effective. Make a big tunnel underneath a rock. Then get all enemies to follow you.
Make sure to make the tunnel big enough so that they have no time to escape.

Second:Quick repeated pumps
Most people just hit them and wait for them to explode, which isn't a problem until the later stages.
So the way it works is that the first hit counts as the first pump. Just keep on repeatedly hitting
them while moving slightly toward them and you should explode them much faster than normal
