Is Psycho Mantis possible to defeat?

I remember playing this game on my own playstation. When you originally fight him, you have to change controller slots so that he can't read your moves, but...that doesn't seem possible when playing it online. I've tried to beat him many times, but he's too fast. I can get a few shots on him despite him dodging most of my shots, but in the end, I can only get him down to about 3/4 health and the 3 rations don't last very long. Is there another way to defeat him or am I pretty much out of luck?

I honestly think that this might be a flaw about playing emulators. It's the fact that you can't do the creative stuff like that. I think it might actually be impossible to beat him, although, if you set up a "second controller" on your keyboard, you might be able to beat him like that. If that doesn't work then I don't know what will. I'm probably not the best person to ask about this though.

Crispymasterty : I am not too sure about it, but you open the controls menu, and there should be options for a second controller. Play around with that, and hopefully that will work.

One of my friends said it is possible, but is very hard and takes time. But you can switch controller ports, so... meh.
To be honest I've never played the game... will check it out once I get enough Viz for the PSX item.

I got to thinking more about this, and you won't be switching the controller ports with the emulator. They'd both be configured at the same time, so this might work if you were to clear each control on port 1 with Esc key before configuring port 2.

I just looked it up & it turns out you just have to get rid of the statues in his room so he can't read your mind. Switching ports just made things easier. C4 is the quickest way to get rid of the statues.
