When you get your first Pokémon it is imperative that you quickly start to gain levels before you battle people, so you can save a lot of frustration later. I suggest getting your Pokémon to at least level 9 before you battle your in game rival for the first time. If you don't already know you can't catch any Pokémon in the beginning of the game, so leveling up your Pokémon now can give you a slight buffer when you try to level up weaker Pokémon in the future. I say this because if the weak Pokémon faints then you still have the stronger one to rely on thus giving you a contingency plan. Furthermore try to have each of your Pokémon a different type, instead of all one type. This will give you an early advantage, and may even the odds if you are facing a higher lever opponent. These strategies are crucial if you are to succeed early on in the game. Later when you have high level Pokémon you may want to modify these strategies to your personal preferences. As always these are just hints and things that I have found helpful and useful to me when I play, I cannot guarantee that this will work for everyone. As I stated earlier, these are just hints and tips and in no way are you obliged to use them. I hope this helps if you do use these hints.

This is good, it is important to keep calm and cool when playing Pokémon games, so you don't get frustrated and rage quit. This is nice good general information, it is always important to train your Pokémon well so they can be prepared throughout the game and it won't be extremely difficult. Nice job on this, you make a really good point on how important it is to stay calm and cool about  the game and to  stay focused. Good job, hints and tips are always helpful for improving your performance and also the way you train and battle in the game, maybe this will help people take their training more seriously. Good job on this guide here, these tips will certainly come in handy!

lykon33 : This will really be helpful to those that  are ne w to this game. I am not, I am among the e4, trying to grind in VR...again, this is helpful. I always grind my starter to level 23-25 at route 1. That's right, 1000 waves of ratattas, pidgeys, and geodudes. Takes me at least 3 hours of nonstop training.

A good way not to get flustered when playing  a game is to remind yourself " It is just a game ". And if that does not work shout like Muscle Man from Regular Show.
