I used to watch me brothers play games a lot when I was little and sometimes I would fall asleep watching. Now, certain songs from the past help me sleep as well as other newer ones. Name some songs that you like to listen to when you sleep! Maybe we'll help someone with insomnia along the way. Here are the first few I can think of:
  • Diamond Dust  Zone Acts 1 and 2 - Sonic 3D Blast
  • Marble Garden Zone Acts 1 and 2 - Sonic 3
  • Lava Reef Zone - Sonic and Knuckles
  • Atlantis 1, 2, and 3 - Glover 64
  • Dire, Dire Docks - Super Mario 64
  • Dessert - Bomberman Hero
  • Fatidic - Bomberman Hero
  • Green Garden - Bomberman 64
  • Blue Resort - Bomberman 64
  • Supporting Me - Sonic Adventure 2
  • Plant Wisp - Sonic Colors
  • Final Fantasy VII - Tifa's Theme
I'll post again when I can think of more but in the meantime I want to hear what others have to say!

I don't really use any Video Game Songs to help me fall asleep, but I do have one song that may help you fall asleep. It's really calm and soothing.

Eternal Wind - Final Fantasy III

I don't listen to any video game songs to help me sleep, but the "Jolly Roger Bay"/"The Secret Aquarium"/"Dire Dire Docks" theme from Super Mario 64 would get me to sleep easily if I listened to it at night.

I regularly listen to video game music to put me to sleep. Usually Final Fantasy music, but I have been using the Portal music a lot lately, especially 'Cara Mia Addio'.

A few 16-Bit S.N.E.S. Tracks.
Sim City. (#1.) If you can stay awake with this stuff? You need to switch to decaf.

Metroid.
Final Fantasy 4 and 6.
I am certain there are more. I just can not think of any right now.
Why ask such an odd question.
From the X-Box Era? I would have to go with "Robotech Battle Cry". I love the music, but I have heard the tracks so many times from the show I quite literally fall asleep playing. It is impressive to see a space battle with hundreds of battle pods closing in in all directions and you fire off a dozen missiles and use the blast to cover your tail so the rest can not track or hit you. Fly through the burning Debris, Change modes, Do a 180% Turn. You move into position to fire another volley and Finish them off so you can then focus on disabling the engines to the Mother ship and..... ZZZzzzZZZZzzzz.

Great game. But the Music is very old for the modern generation. It works but for me but it is kinda like Imagining Star Wars with Roy Rogers "Happy Trails" or "The Mickey Mouse Club" Songs in the Back Ground.
At any moment I am half expecting to see Gregory Peck with a peg leg saying "With my last breath. I Stab at thee." That old.
Good Talk. Thanks.
Good Luck.
Peace.

I never done this but I would probably use the music from Yoshi's Story that had tons of relaxing happy music in it.
Second would metroid believe it or not that music sounds pretty relaxing except for some boss Battles of course those are sometimes intense.

Aeris' theme from Final Fantasy 7 if I needed something.  In the past I have just used different variations of Pachabels Canon in D.

This is ironically one of my favorite songs to listen to before bed:?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2TPQQQa4mxY
If you mix it with "Moonside" from Earthbound, it becomes even LESS creepy.?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tRxujy80HYs
Speaking of which, that first song I listed (Item Room Ambience) made me mostly unable to sleep last night. It felt like my room was haunted LOL I had to keep imagining Kirby music to try to calm myself down

fusionaceblus : Thanks, I didn't know Unleashed had some good songs. I haven't played it yet. I'm gonna explore the NiGHTS music for some good ones, too.

jparks34 : I forgot to add Aerith's Theme to the playlist, thanks. I like the Piano version from Advent Children.

orionfoxgibson : I've heard people say Metriod games have good songs but sadly I haven't touched the Metriod Series.

Here's a little more I like:

Sonic Unleashed - Holoska (Day & Night)
Sonic Unleashed - Apotos (Night)
Advance Wars Dual Strike - Sasha's Theme
Paper Mario - Snow Road
Paper Mario - Crystal Palace Crawl
Paper Mario - Shooting Star Summit
Bomberman 64 - White Ice
Bomberman 64 - Rainbow Palace
Sonic Adventure - Limestone Cave
Sonic Adventure - Snowy Mountain
Final Fantasy IX - Terra

I really do appreciate everyone that's throwing songs out there for me. I'm constantly adding music (Game and Mainstream) to my "Sleep" playlist. Usually I only fall asleep by crashing after being up for like 36 hours; it's a cycle (I'm currently at like 30 hrs up at this moment).
