But anyways, I guess there is some simple Portuguese stuff I could teach...

For Example:
"Hello, my name is _______, Pleased to meet you."
That'd be:
"Olá, meu nome é _______, Prazer em conhecê-lo"

Also:
"What is it that you like to do in your spare time? Do you have any hobbies or something?"
Translating:
"O quê você gosta de fazer no seu tempo livre? Você tem algum passatempo ou algo assim?

One thing to notice is that when asking questions, in English you invert the verb to be, "It is" becomes "Is it". We don't have that in portuguese. In compensation, All verbs have different conjugations for each one of the subjects at hand, unlike English.

It feels awkward to try to teach while I write those stuff, but I guess it's a good enough start...
