Hello all. I'm a new guy/ghost user of this website for quite a while now. I decided finally to start becoming part of a community. "But why this one?" Excellent question! And I'm sure I could list a myriad of reasons that would be more than acceptable. However it is simply because I want to. My only hope is that I can find a few decent and mature people to have worthwhile conversations with. No one like having arguments with a 12 year old kid (and nothing against anyone who IS 12 years old, but some few bad apples have stereotyped your age-group) because no one ever wins in that situation.

So let me tell you a little about myself. I'm 26. I served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2006-2010. I've gamed almost my entire life. The first system I played was the NES. And boy did I play it! I remember spending so many hours playing Dragon Warrior 1, and finding everything on my own about that game. The game still holds a spot dear to my heart. After being introduced to the NES, it created a rather large snowball effect to other systems. I've played every system after it (some more than others). I enjoy playing RPG's more than most other games, but I still enjoy playing sports titles from time to time. Baseball, and Hockey are my go to genre. As I grew older, my gaming taste started to shift from console gaming to PC gaming. I was a part of the whole World of Warcraft fad, and for about 6 years I played that game everyday of my life. (minus the time the military didn't let me). I've also played Everquest, Ultima Online, etc etc. Gaming has shaped me as a person, either for better or worse but shaped none the less.

I know most of what I have written about is just my gaming side of life, but I feel that a lot of that information is what will relate to a wider portion of the member base of this particular forums. Outside of gaming, I enjoy sports quite a bit. I play fantasy sports for every season on Yahoo.com and would love to make some friends to potentially make a league with in the future. I enjoy movies and television like most people, and do not mind talking about movies or T.V. shows that I have watched or seen. My favorite T.V. show is and always will be House MD, followed by NCIS, and now followed by Game of Thrones (I have not read the books, so in any of my future posts please do not spoil anything for me). I am a pretty easy going individual, and do not get angered easily. So feel free to approach me about most anything. If I can contribute to a topic in a positive way, I will do so.

Another couple things that are pretty big in my life right now, are that I am currently spending a lot of time playing Path of Exile. It is a PC game that is free for those of you who do not know about it, and it is VERY similar to Diablo 2. In my opinion it is one of the best free to play games out right now. Maybe part of that is nostalgia for a Diablo 2 type game.....but everyone on this website has a bit of nostalgia don't we? I also play (used to/still do/try to/stupid money problems!!!!) Magic the gathering both online with the official MTG application through Wizards of the Coast, as well as on Paper. I consider myself to be pretty good and knowledgeable. Although I have never made it to the pro circuit, I have been on the cusp a few times at local PTQ events. If you have anything MTG related to talk about, I may end up talking you to sleep.

So yea, that about says enough about me for now. I'm looking forward to getting to know some people. Like I said, introduce yourselves, send me messages if you want to talk about anything PoE, sports, military, or MTG related

Oh yea, I do not do the whole Facebook thing. It was a little past my time for my tastes, and as a side effect of the military, it shares too much information for me to be comfortable with.

Wow! This post is just as big as some of my game reviews! I enjoyed reading this thread. It had a lot of interesting facts about you. I used to be a huge PC gamer as well, but now I've became a huge retro gamer. I really like the NES games too. Be sure to post in the Vizzed Board forums a lot; the easiest ways to earn Viz are by posting, spell checking your posts, and coming to vizzed every day!

Haha. Yea, I will never stop becoming a Retro gamer. I actually just finished up ogre battle for the SNES a few days ago here on Vizzed. I do plan on posting and visiting a lot. I would love to eventually get the PlayStation item. Hopefully if I get the item, they will eventually add the Disgea games. some of my favorite from the PlayStation! Thanks for the reply folks. Still hoping to meet more people! Feel free to tell me a little about yourselves! And if anyone plays PoE we can get a little bit of gaming in!

Retro Games in the RGR are awesome, but the board is wonderful, you are able to meet nice people and learn something about others. I hope you have a great time weather you are a poster or a gamer.
