So, how about that Halo trailer shown in E3 this year? I think it's awesome. Grant it, I don't get why the Chief was in a cloak, but I don't really care about that.

I did see this trailer.  Personally I know that I am quite excited to try this game out, when it does come out, that is.  One thing that I have noticed though is a bit of a pattern.  While it doesn't really apply to Halo 1, as I think that games purpose was to draw in a huge following of gamers (which it did flawlessly), in Halo 2, Chief goes through the storyline, and loses Cortana at the end.  Then, Halo 3 is centralized around locating Cortana again.  Once she is found again, Halo 4's theme is wrapped around the ideal of trying to fix Cortana.  However, Chief loses her again when she destroys the Didact's ship.  In the trailer, they show Chief holding Cortana's AI chip, which almost certainly signals that his new quest is going to be to revive Cortana, and hopefully fix her.  I also am excited because the storyline is one of the best I have seen of a multi-game series, and also (at least, this is just a little bit of a guess), I think Halo 5 is going to be a redemption story, or how Chief goes through a large amount of peril just to regain his lost honor. (remember, in Halo 4 he disobeyed orders when refusing to surrender Cortana.  Ergo, he was more than likely court martialed and discharged from the military, but he stole his armor and fled).  This has been a storyline that I have always enjoyed in books, and I am ecstatic to see how 343 Industries handles it in video game format.

I didn't even know it was shown at E3 I guess I might as well look into it right now I can't believe they are already making another Halo game.
Halo 4 was released just last November.
I didn't think that Halo is a important series at the moment.

I saw the trailer but it didn't see to good. It won't be a very good opening.  But people will want it.

The biggest thing to remember here is that this is one of those trailers where it probably will be released in another year or so.  This is more than likely super preliminary thing they have going on, mostly due to the fact that they want to build up hype about the new game.  Say what you will about the trailer not looking good, but it doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of what 343 has planned.  All it really is, is an announcement trailer for E3 and 343 to say "Hey, check this out!  It is going to be a long time, but we are officially working on a new one!"  Very similar to what they did with Assassin's Creed IV.  They just released a trailer showing a small section of story line to build up hype.

There is no game play shown, nor anything else except a few teasers.  So please, all I ask is do not smash the game until you actually see game play of it, or you actually play the game.  It is a teaser trailer.  Each Halo game has introduced something new.  Maybe the big thing in Halo 5 actually has to do with a game play update/upgrade.  Just please don't hate it 'til you try it.

I think it looks interesting but I am also wondering how does MC get to this desert wasteland and what that big monster thing was?  I really want Arbiter to show up in Halo 5.  Maybe Master Chief is being hunted down by the UNSC because he didn't follow orders in the last game.  I thought Cortana was gone forever but yeah he might try to bring her back.  I remember reading something about 343 using a different engine or something for Halo 5.  I don't want it to look like Halo 4 so yeah I'm okay with that.
