Graphics and Sprites There's not much to say about the graphics to be honest, it's just like in every Pokemon game. Their focused on pixels, but the sprites for certain Pokemon have different colors, what i mean by that, is that the colors are either brighter, or darker. Same with the places, a good example are some gyms. But that's not a huge problem i guess, there's no glitches or errors in the sprites so far, from what i see/know.
Sound and Music The sound and music hasn't changed, and i'm guessing it would stay the same, since this isn't a big hack. The tempo of the music is fine, there's no errors, battle music is fine, all the sound and music is perfect. But in my opinion, i think the battle music should be a little faster, since it'll make the battles more intense. But this is just an opinion. On the other hand, there's not much to say about sound, it's good.
Addictiveness I honestly find most of the Pokemon Games addicting, no matter how many times i play them. They would always be addicting to me. Why? I just seem to like RPG games, and games where you level up. And i just like Pokemon, the games are a lot different from the anime, and that's another reason why i like the games. If it would be the same, it would be kind of pointless to play it, since you would already know what the game would roughly be about. Anyways, i find this game addicting because it seems like a whole new games, whilst its just like Fire red, only backwards. And you won't normally find hacks like these. From the looks of it and from the screenshots, it looks the same, but when you actually play it, its completely new and different. There are new Pokemon in places (Not Fakemon, original Pokemon), so there are some new things in this hack.
Story I don't know what to say about the story, its the same as the Original Fire Red Rom, just backwards. Its not any longer, or shorter, it's stayed the same. Forgot to mention, the starter Pokemon have also changed. Mankey, Kabuto, & Hoothoot. And the looks of some towns/places have changed. Overall, the story stayed the same.
Depth and Length Depth? It's the same as the original fire red, i wouldn't say it's so long, in my opinion. I play them a lot but i seem to finish it in at least a few days. (2-4 days to be exact) I don't find them long because i tend to play for a long time, and use the space bar, but nowadays, Pokemon games are a lot longer. Like HeartGold & Soulsilver. They have 2 regions, which is pretty epic to be honest. But i understand that these game boy games are quite old, so i wouldn't expect them to be so long. Like i said, the length / depth of this game stayed the same as well.
Difficulty I don't find GBA Pokemon games hard at all. Maybe because i tend to play to a lot, but like i said, this is my opinion. Their quite easy to me. Just pick a starter Pokemon, fight trainers, explore towns, fight gyms, defeat champion, and your done. Some of you may think different, but this is my opinion. Fact being, this game is different from the original Fire Red, and may get confusing since its a backwards edition, so i gave it a 5/10, because its easy, but also confusing, making it quite hard. It's easy because the story has stayed the same, but your just playing it backwards, and hard because the towns have changed, and could get confusing.
Overall OVERALL i give this game 9.5. Its creative really. You won't really see hacks which are backwards, and it would seem like a completely new game, while its still the same game, just with a few changes, to make it a bigger hack. The game is backwards, which makes the player go through the gyms in the following order: Cinnabar > Fuchsia > Saffron > Celadon > Vermillion > Cerulean > Pewter > Viridian. There are also a few changes made to the game. Some Pokemon types, like Bug and grass have been made a little stronger. Gym leaders will give you different TM's after beating the gym, so you won't get overpowered moves early in the game. A FEW typing's have been changed and surf has been given lower attack power. HM01, Cut has been given a higher attack power and is changed into a steel type move. Like i said before, the wild Pokemon have been changed in some areas, Pokemon from Gen 1 to Gen 3 will be included, and you are now able to find Pokemon in puddles just like in Gen V (Gen 5), and last but not least, the move 'Teleport' has turned into the move Explosion. On the other hand, since this is a hack, most hacks have a few glitches and errors, but their not major. The move Rock Tomb would crash your game, so be sure to save often. But the move cannot be taught to any Pokemon, but could be used while using Metronome, so before using that move, be sure to save (F2 & F4) The move Strength has no type, and has 100 pp but that could be ignored, its not a huge error, and The map doesn't correspond to the routes aesthetically, so don't listen to the map. At a certain point in the postgame, you can go to Two and Three Island. The islands haven't been altered, so if you explore, anything could happen. Also, if the PCs stops working, fly to Vermillion and go to Three Isle Port to fix it.
This hack is worth playing, because its the only backwards Pokemon game on vizzed so far, and is quite interesting. A lot of time has been spent making this game, you can tell by how perfect the game is, leaving out all the bugs. There are new Pokemon in each route, including Pokemon from Gen 1, 2, and 3, meaning theirs a lot more new Pokemon you can catch! Gyms are quite harder, and have higher leveled Pokemon, making the game a little hard.
I hope you will play this game!
