Yes, The original Donkey Kong Game, this game pretty much started Donkey Kong and Mario into the video gaming industry, which both became well known franchises well into today. I do have a lots of ups and downs with this game. This game is really fun, but challenging at the same time which is pretty good for gamers that wants a challenge.
The Graphics: The graphics in this game is very decent for a game that is made in 1981, the levels are alright and for the items in the levels does look realistic, by the size of the item. For the character spites in the levels are very well done for it's time, and takes the shape of the characters we know today. ---------- The Sound: The Sound effects is pretty great for an early-80's game, although the walking, and the climbing does make kinda of a squeaky sound but for an early-80's game it is pretty understandable. For the jumping, this was pretty greatly done and used for future games to come.
For the Music, the title screen sounds really nice and the music in the game, even know they're only two levels that plays music, other than that, the music came out alright. ---------- The Addictiveness: For the addiction level, it's at an alright level, it's in a way that the game wants you to keep on playing and sometimes you really don't feel like playing it, it really depends of the player wants to play it or not, unless you're one of those people that wants to get the highest score on this game, then this game can be very addictive for those kind of gamers. For me, I would play it here and there whenever I do feel like playing this game. ---------- The Story: The story goes that the big ape known as Donkey Kong (a.k.a. Cranky Kong) goes and kidnaps Pauline and only Mario can save her from Donkey. You are also dodging obstacle and climbing up ladders to get to Pauline and rescuing her from Kong. ---------- The Depth: They isn't too much depth into this game with only 3 levels, and it repeats after the 3rd level but the difficulty gets a little harder (which I will explain below). Although they're 4 modes to select on the menu screen, but they're pretty much the same thing, but the top 2 is 1 player and the bottom 2 is 2 players. ---------- The Difficulty: The Difficulty is pretty tough for this game, although they're only 3 levels, but those 3 are pretty tough and each time you're able to complete the 3rd level, you go back to level 1 and it get's a little more difficult to beat. Mostly if you get the hang of playing this game, the game is pretty easy for the gamer to play. ---------- Overall: Overall, this game is really fun, but tough to play. Do I recommend of you playing this game, I have to say, it is a pretty good game if you get the hang of playing this tough classic game. It's a game that you should try out if you haven't already.
