Overall: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3 is a sequel to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, obviously. It is a classic beat em' up game where you star as anyone of the 4 turtles, Michelangelo, Raphael, Donatello, and Leonardo. In my opinion, I think that Donatello is the best turtle in this game because he has the Bo that has a long range to attack enemies. This game doesn't have a wide variety as far as foot soldiers. I believe there is only 5 or 6 kinds of foot soldiers. The music in this game should defiantly go onto your IPod right now. In conclusion, this game has many great things about it. Pretty much the fact that you are fighting as turtles and you have weapons sells it right there. This game is a must play if you are a big TMNT fan. So I score this game overall a 9/10!

Graphics: The graphics in this game aren't too special. They are pretty standard like any other mediocre Nintendo game. There are some parts of the game that stand out from the rest, but I guess since it is a beat em' up style game, you aren't supposed to pay too much attention to the background unless you want to get annihilated. The turtles have their own distinct green color separated from the rest of the scenery so you can actually tell who you are controlling. The foot soldiers have different colors depending on what their particular skill is. Whether it be throwing stars, just punching you, or stepping back 40 feet and jump on top of you. Bottom line is that the graphics are average for an NES game. Nothing special here.

Sound: The sound in this game will get your head bopping to every song the level brings. You will never get tired of the music in this game. Konami usually does a good job making great music for their games. This is not one of those games where you will hear the same darn soundtrack throughout the entire game. No, you will want to finish the level just to hear the next epic song that awaits you. I have at least 2 songs from this game on my IPod, they are that good. Trust me. So, for that, I give the sound a 10.

Addictiveness: This game is very addictive. Every level brings new challenges as to terrain, new enemies, or level bosses. The level bosses keep getting harder as you go along. Well, at least I hope they would because that is what games generally try to do. The bosses are the same as the "bad guys" in the cartoon series. Shredder is the last boss and he is very difficult to beat. The game is very repetitive in terms of enemies. This is one of the better beat em' up games for the NES. My only problem with this game is the enemy choice. If there was more enemies to fight, then I would score this part a ten, but for my only gripe, I give the part a 9.

Story: The story is that the turtles are having a nice day or week or whatever on the beach in Florida, and then all of a sudden, New York is being over taken by Krang and his gang. Ha, see what I did there? Anyways, you have to make your way back to New York, or what is left of it, and take it back from the evil Krang. You can choose between 4 turtles. Michelangelo has nun-chucks you can use to wrap around your enemies and squeeze their necks off. Donatello has a Bo that can slice through any foot soldier. Leonardo has machetes that can easily take off a finger with just a swish of the sword. And last but not least, we have Raphael who has sais that he can throw at people and pin to walls. The story isn't too in depth to much so I gave this part a 6.

Depth: Like I said before, this game doesn't go in too much depth as far as a beat em' up game. But that is understandable because all the gameplay should be is go around beating enemies up. It's simple, but since it has all the other components that make it a great game, it doesn't really matter. There really isn't really much else to say here, so I gave the depth a 6.

Difficulty: This game isn't really too difficult if you focus and have fast fingers. If you have a friend playing with you, your chances of beating the game are much higher if you are playing by yourself. I have beaten the game in one go without having to use a continue once. So, beating the game by yourself can be done. The purple soldiers are really hard to kill because all they do is bunch us and box you in so you have to use that move where you throw the guy over your head. You will find yourself using that move a lot. So, I have given the difficulty of this game a 7.

This review is very well written Mordecool! It really is thorough and explains all about the game's distinctive qualities and it is very descriptive. This is very good quality stuff, keep up the good reviewing, is this your biggest post? It is very good and really convinces someone to want to play this game, I like how you said you will head bob every time to the game's music and how you described it as a beat em' up game. It is a very well written review, keep up the good work like this, speaking of which we should play this game and also lay tmnt 4, those games were fun to play and it has been a while. Anyways, nice review, keep up the good work and keep making more reviews, you are good at it!
