Many of you probably don't like plants, and probably don't care much for plants around you... some of you even go out of your way to destroy someone else's plants because you just don't like them, or you just don't care. If you don't mind me saying, after seeing this game... I have found a whole new reason to avoid destroying anyone's plants, let alone my own plants.

Sure, this obviously just a game... and the idea of something like this actually happening would be pretty obscure and rather impossible if I do say so myself, but in all honesty... if my plants did this for me, I would build a giant garden around my entire city. Well, let me get down to business before I bore you to death with my "sappy" results here...

Graphics- 6/10
Naturally, I would be giving this game a higher rate... but sadly, this isn't a game I'm completely fond of nor do I see going very far in the gaming industry. Although this game is very unique and rather amazing for the game that it is, it seems to be too much like a tower defense game... and most, if not all of those type of games often end quickly. As far as I know, the only tower defense game still being made is called "Bloons Tower Defense" and it's only for the PC as far as I know. Anyways, back on topic about "Plants vs Zombies"... there isn't really all that much I can say about the graphics of the game, it's rather plain and simple when it comes to the setting and style of the game. The animation is more or less, basic and sloppy for the most part. Although I have said mostly negative things about the game, I have indeed played it over and over again... not because it's bad, but because for being as bad as it is, I'd have to say... it's pretty good nonetheless, worth every penny I spent on it in my opinion.

Sound- 6/10
Like many tower defense games, as well as PC games similar to "Plants vs Zombies"... the music isn't entirely ranged in any aspect, and is a bit too simple for my taste. Although the main song about the game is rather amazing, both hilarious and beautiful... the rest of the soundtrack is a bit more, "basic" than anything. Sure, what this game lacks in quality and quantity... it makes up for with it's addictiveness and depth. As for the theme song behind this unique and rather, hilarious game... here is the song for your listening pleasure: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0N1_0SUGlDQ

Addictiveness- 8/10
Now, besides the fact that I have been bad-mouthing this game the entire time... just because the graphics and sound aren't entirely up to par, and more or less remind me of playing flash tower defense games... this game, much like tower defense games... is EXTREMELY addictive. No seriously, I mean... once I started playing this game, I became glued to the screen... constantly wanting to upgrade my plant army until I felt unstoppable. And yet, because I haven't played it in about... I think maybe a few weeks to possibly a month or so, I don't entirely remember how long the zombie attacks last... but I do know that it was amusing to battle them every step of the way. I mean first off, how can plants do things like this... and how do they know to attack the undead? And secondly, when did sunflowers and lilies become so freaking amazing?!?! But no seriously, this game is extremely addictive like many tower defense games, and although this game has been created on the Xbox 360 as well as on PS3 and other game systems... I am sure it is somewhere on the PC as an Internet tower defense game as well. Whatever be the case, this game is definitely exciting to play... although it's a tad bit slow at times, it's still amusing to see what kinds of zombies you will come across and what kinds of plants you have in your arsenal to send the dead back to where they came from.

Story- 1/10
Although this game doesn't have much of a story, mostly because this game isn't designed to have a defined story... in simple terms, the story is basically like every other zombie based game. There is a zombie outbreak, and now you need to defend yourself... but because you're a stupid human being and you haven't a clue how to defend yourself, it seems somehow... your plants have decided to defend you. As odd as it sounds, it's a battle to the death... who will be the winner, PLANTS or ZOMBIES!

Depth- 7/10
Although this game is, like I have said about 50 times before... much similar to tower defense games, it does provide a rather high amount of things you can do in the game. Not only are there cheats (of which I have never used), but besides that... there are so many plants to choose from, so many types of zombies to try and take down, and so many challenges to complete. Whether you're trying to kill zombies as they enter your pool in order to reach the house, or whether you're killing zombies climbing off the roof and heading into the house... the odds justify the means, and believe me... this game is mean straight to the core. Some of the zombies take forever to freaking kill, and some die in a matter of seconds... but in all reality, with a strong defense and an even stronger offense... there is no clue telling what might happen or what you may have to summon in your arsenal in order to protect the living.

Difficulty- 5/10
Currently, this game... much like tower defense games, only gets harder as you progress further. But then again, pretty much every game out there does that... the more you progress, the harder the game will become. (Except the impossible game, which is well... just impossible from the start) But honestly, as you continue to survive through the game and as you continue to upgrade your plant army, the zombies become better... some become faster, others become stronger defensed, some can carry weapons and others can carry objects to use as shields. Like I have said in the depth, the odds justify the means... and it gets mean out there, with non-stop plant vs zombie action... and zombies sometimes winning at first, you never know who will come out as the victor. After having played this for probably only a few hours and having seen what progress it has made, I am pretty sure a Plants vs Zombies 2 will be made sometime in 2014... if not, then much like other tower defense games... it will go out of style, and be forgotten soon enough.

Well, thanks for checking out my review... I hope this gives you the opportunity to decide whether or not to get this game. Now, I'm not going to tug at your leg and say you should or shouldn't get it... but when I got it for the first time, it was worth every single penny.
And remember "There's a zombie on your lawn..."
