Hey guys,

I just want to inform some of you who don't know that in the evening on April 17, an explosion happened a few miles from Waco, Texas that so far has been reported to have killed up to 70, injured over 200, and destroyed many homes and businesses in the area. If anyone has any updates throughout the course of tomorrow and the next few days, feel free to post them here. My thoughts and prayers are with those who were affected and their families.

Anyways, does anyone know if this was another attack or not? I haven't heard anything yet besides the fact it happened, and I only heard it at 2:30AM when there were maybe 14 deaths and ~200 injuries, Nya~.

If this is another attack, then I can only see the distant future getting worse and worse.

mrfe : I'm pleased that this likely isn't an act of terror. Considering some of the ingredients of plant fertilizer, it could be possible that something as simple as negligence caused the explosion. Perhaps on the heels of the Boston attacks, people are on edge and are quick to jump to the assumption that it was an attack of some kind. And maybe it was. But enough evidence hasn't emerged yet that will tell us what happened. It's really all speculation at this point.

Yeah... I saw this on the news. The worst thing about this? It happened right after the bombings at the Boston Marathon. It always seems that every time something happens, a chain reaction of crap happens.

So right now there are 12 confirmed deaths, with many more considered missing. I'm hoping those people turn up soon, alive, but we'll see. As Barathemos said, this has been an absolutely tragic week. Hopefully things will calm down soon.
