I actually give nicknames to every single Pokémon I catch, but it never has anything to do with the Pokémon that I caught. Don't know why, but it's fun doing that. My favorite one would probably Sandwich, which is what I call my Mudkips.

I'm not so creative... the only pokemon I name are HM slaves and Bulbasaur...

I always name my Bulbasaur a variant of Fushigi.
Be it FushigiDa, Fushigi-Da, Fushigiban, Fushigisou.

I don't usually name my Pokémon.  I once named my Umbreon in XD "Werda", an archaic Mando'a word for "shadow".  Other than that, I usually just name any Lugia I get "XD001" (and, being slightly more creative, any Ho-oh "XD002").

I nickname the  normal regular Pokémon X- followed by a number, which is based off of the order I caught them in (for example X-1 for the starter, and then X-2 following what ever I catch next and so forth). I nickname the legendary Pokémon using the same principle only instead of X- what ever number I use Y- what ever number.
