This game is absolutely horrible. You don't get a sword at the start, enemies are too hard to kill at the start (you have to use grass or pots), and there is no indication of what you have to do and when you have to do it. The only reason that the original game wasn't bad due to non linearity was because there weren't guards blocking every single pathway leading to your objective (which I had to search on Google, by the way). Another problem is that the only item that you get (the lantern) can't even harm enemies. I constantly found myself taking hits in order to cheat through certain parts. In the original game, you could get a sword from Link's uncle. Link's uncle is in the game and he wants you to meet him at a castle, but an army of guards block off every single route to the place. This is one of the few Legend of Zelda titles that I have played that are actually worse than A Link to the Past, the others being Zelda 2 and the CD-I games.

Indy4797 : If you hate a game you shouldn't review on it, and also I won't judge your opinion if you feel that you just absolutely have to share your opinion, go right ahead, but also if this is your idea as a review it isn't right. Sorry to have to tell you that but reviews shouldn't be this way they should explain how the game works like, your overall rating for this game and graphics and so on. That is how it is done because I am quite fond of reviewing games, mainly Pokémon games. So please don't make a review like this again it's nothing against you at all it just doesn't count as a review. I am only saying this to help you, so don't think I am trying to be mean..

First off this isn't a review, it doesn't go into depth or break down the category's. All you did was bash and degrade the game, I'm requesting this review be closed, in the future make quality well thought out reviews.

While it isn't exactly a review, more of a discussion, it doesn't break any rules, so I have no reason to close it. However, it appears that there are no ratings given at all, which I find odd. You need to rate it in each category next time, and break down the good and bad of each category (graphics, sound, etc). Why not give it another shot and see what you end up with?

Indy4797 : First of all I would like to point out that the title you are "reviewing" is a hack title made by a fan of the game. Not an actual released title. You seemed confused about that (or at least this thread makes it seem that way)

The Original Link to the Past is one of the best Zelda games ever created. You make it sound like it's not and although everyone is entitled to their own opinion it would be crazy to say that the original game "Is not good"

I would also like to add that although many do reviews of games they don't like it's not a review by just saying "This game sucks because you don't get a weapon and it's difficult"

   Ok... I'm really sorry. This is a really good game, I just got ticked off at a puzzle and then my anger took over and I went AVGN on it. I recently look up how to beat the part and continued. The person who made this game did an amazing job: far better than what I could. I feel like a total d bag and regret making this "review". Ignore all that I said.
