Can you not just hook your Xbox up to your computer? And use a free capture software to record it?

That's what I do with my PS3

Never tried with my Xbox, but I'm sure it would be the same concept.

thing1 : You would need a HDMI to DVI cable.

I'm not sure what your computer is like at the back, so I cant say for sure the cable will work.

For me I did not have the DVI port on the back of my computer.

So I had to buy a DVI to VGA port adapter as well, just so I could use the cable.

But it all worked fine after that.

I use a DVD recorder to record game play for other systems I'm sure it would work for Xbox. The only thing is the DVD recorder I use cost's like 90 bucks, you might be about to find a cheaper one but I don't know.
