Okay, seriously, your asking "why is a Kid Icarus Uprising review under the original?" Well, 2 things, one, I can't find a 3DS sub-forum, and 2, Uprising is the sequel of the original Kid Icarus. Let's get started!*Note, there are spoilers in this whole review, you've been warned
Gameplay: 9.5/10 When you turn on the game, you get to (optionally) view some tutorial videos. It shows you how to walk, shoot, strafe, run, etc. The actual gameplay is where its at. The game is chopped up into 3 segments, air battle, land battle, and boss fight. The first, I personally think is the best, is air battle. I know what you guys are saying. "Why can Pit fly in this game?" Well, Lady Palutena (I think its spelled) gave Pit the power of flight, but it'll only last for 5 minutes, then, like an inferno, his wings will burn up and fall, then die. This happens at one point of the game, giving actual reason of telling you this information. Land battle is where you fight on the land, killing everything in your way. Along the way, you might find a Cherobot, which is like a mechanical Mike Tyson on steroids, an exo tank, which is a tricked-out car with lasers, and the aether ring, which encircles you in a ring that fires lasers. At the end of a level, Pit needs to defeat the boss. The only problem I hand with the last 2 segments is that sometimes the controls aren't that good. I will try to walk, but then I run off a ledge.
Sound 10/10 The music is all beautiful, all of them are made for that stage. They feel right in the situation your in. Oh, and the game is voice-acted. Like EVERYONE is voice-acted. They could have messed up big time, but they didn't. I like that.
Addictiveness:9/10 The game is not that addictive after you complete the main campaign. It's only 25 levels. The multiplayer is fun, but not that addictive. :/
Story: 9.8/10 The story starts 25 years after the original. Medusa has been revived and it's your duty to kill her. After you kill her (Spoiler alert) Hades, the true ruler of the under world, just blasts on screen when the credits are rolling, telling you he revived Medusa to cover up what he was doing. Some stuff happens, Virdi, goddess of nature was introduced... Well, it's well written to say the least.
Depth 9/10 The game is good, the graphics are quite nice for the 3DS, overall, it was good.
Overall 9.5/10 This game is amazing. Good voice acting, smooth gameplay, and online multiplayer made it a memorable experience. My final rating for this game is Complete it!
