I have a couple knives but my favourite is the throwing knife I have. It's about 3 inches inches in length when it's extended. I've gotten pretty good with it. I'm hoping to by some more and then buy a knife pouch so I can go into the woods and throw them around with friends. I'm also hoping to get a combat knife from an Army Surplus store near my house. Do you like knives? Which one is your favourite?

MoblinGardens, I throw knives too. I have a great set of three United Cutlery knives:
I really like them, and recommend them if you like throwing. The are a little over 6 inches, which is a good size, and come with a nylon sheath. They cost $25 on amazon, not bad eh?

I do like knife i use them for important things like cut vegetables in class or use them for a sword fight , just kidding on thats part but knifes are too dangerous .

I like knives, but mostly the cheap and unassuming ones like box cutters and Mora-knives. Like this here: It might not look much and it is dirt cheap but I love how it is just a practical knife with all the fancy smanshy things missing. Also it is very light.

It is good for pretty much everything you can think of, but maybe not for knife throwing since it is very light (the handle is often hollow) and it is not balanced. Can you tell us about knife throwing and what kind of a knife would be good for something like that? Also tips for the beginners in the art would also be appreciated.

Brigand : Well, a nicely balanced knife would be good to use.  You wouldn't want one that the handle is very light like you said about the orange one.  There is a certain way to throw they knives.  I'm not even sure if I have the correct throwing technique as I have only just started throwing them.  You can really just throw any knife that if nicely balanced, although a proper throwing knife would work the best.  The best way to practice would be to try getting it to stick into the ground at first.  Just make sure your toes aren't in the way XD.  Once you can do that, try throwing it vertically at trees or pieces of wood.
