Hey everyone, its me again. For those who are active and do not know me, over the years I've made a few of these posts. I've been a part of this site since I was 14 and now I am 22. Its always great to come back and realize how much of a powerhouse website Vizzed has become. This is always I site I can come back to. I always enjoy myself via retro games and reading what others have to say about all sorts of subjects.

Life is going great! I'm still going to school to get a Bachelors of Science in Game Production. I have about a year left and I'm hoping that I will land a job in the gaming industry. I'm going to have to choose a form of art to perfect because, at my school, they teach us every aspect in making a game. I've loaded a photo of the Deus Ex Sniper Rifle that I 3D modeled, just to show a little of what I've been working on. Yes, it is incomplete. I've also been programming in Actionscript 3.0 (AS3) in Adobe Flash. I just recently have been learning HTML, CSS, and Javascript. If anyone would like I can post more of my work, I don't mind. Any questions about the industry, what programs there are or how to use certain programs. Feel free to ask.

I'm in my Texture and Lighting class right now, so I apologize for any jumbled up nonsense. I'm just excited to share my progress on the website that helped me begin my passion to make games via RPG Maker 98/2000 and beyond.

I hope all of the older members are doing well! I also hope that all the new members are doing well and enjoying what Vizzedboard has become thus far.

and whoa about the age thing too. It's crazy to think how young some of the people were when we all joined and now people are "adults". Don't want to assume too much because we don't all grow up at the same time

Yeah man, it's been a long time since I've posted. I tend to do this all the time where I am inactive and pop in every once in a while. But its always great to see that I am not forgotten when I do. I agree that it is crazy looking how far back on Vizzed's early days.

It's nice to hear from you geeogree. Haha, I remember when we use to be close with our post count so I started tracking you on the post radar way back. I still have it tracking you and now I'm 18079 posts away. Crazy. It's OK though. I'm glad you're still active, I really want to be. Things are just busy, but that is not an excuse. I should put in the time. I know I've said this before many times, but everything that happens starts as an idea. So I will continue to put the idea out there and hopefully I will stay motivated to follow through and be apart of this forum for good.

Thanks for the luck though man, I'm working hard and everything is going very well. The real world has hit me pretty hard, but I do understand that there will be more too it once I graduate and no longer have school anchored into my schedule. Alas, I am prepared for whatever may come and am excited for whatever my come my way. Both positive and negative, I will conquer all the best way I can.

I love when old members come back and post. It's nice to see people don't forget about this place too much.

That's the only attitude you can really have. Come what may and find a way through it. If you survive then you'll be stronger for it.

I hope you stick around a teeny bit more this time but I understand if you don't. The board is so different from the way it used to be that sometimes I find it hard to stick around all the time.

Ha, yeah. It's pretty hard to stick around because all of my energy is put into my classes. Today I just finished the last day of this term. Very stressful, but I'm alive haha.

Its nice to see that you stick around Geeo, every time I come back you are like the first to say what's up. I really really really do want to try and stick around more. If anything, I think I have my email on my info so shoot me an email and yell at me if I'm inactive again. Haha, I know its not your responsibility, it's just a thought.

yeah, I wouldn't have come back so many times if Vizzed wasn't on my favorites bar on my browser. I couldn't help but click it at least once a day just to check things out.

That's actually a pretty good idea. Life just gets so crazy its hard to just remember and get to the site. I'm going to have to try and do that. Just school and work are my time eaters, oh yeah and my girlfriend.

Good thing she's a hot nerd that is gamer and loves anime/reading. That way she's cool with how I use my time, which is mainly video games haha.

What program do you use for your 3D?

You're still the only person on my PS3 friend's list lol. Seeing how you have Halo 4 in your layout, do you have an Xbox 360?

Yeah I'll definitely try and put more of my work up, perhaps I should make a thread of my works.

I'll have a portfolio website made soon. I already have one made I just need to figure out how to have it all stored on a server for others to check it out.

The 3D program I use is 3DS Max. It's a fairly fun program. It takes a little bit to get use to, but when you do get use to it, it's a lot of fun. I still have a modeling 2 class to take then even an advanced modeling class as well. In modeling 2 I will be introduced to a program called Mudbox. Its similar to Zbrush but free.


Haha, yeah. I see you pop on here and there. We haven't gamed together yet though haha. My Halo 4 layout is of me and my girlfriend when we went to E3 last year. Giant posters of games everywhere. On a side note, I still want to code a custom layout but I can't seem to find where to make it from scratch. Is there a thread explaining how to make one from scratch? Just curious. But anyway, since my girlfriend moved in with me, now I have an Xbox360 so I play on there as well. Do you have an Xbox360?

That's pretty awesome that you went to E3, I've been watching that event live on TV for the past 4 years now. I always take the week off from doing any sort of work and basically watch almost all of the coverage I can find on E3.

Yeah, it was a lot of fun! I was able to get admission for free since I am a student in Game. I'm going to go to this one this year as well because the PS4 will be there! I can't recall if the Xbox720 will be there, has that been announced? That's really awesome that you're really into E3. Most people I talk to don't know about it and if they do, they don't follow it, haha. So you understand my excitement!

Thanks for the link, I actually was able to figure it out. I was just unsure on how to format my html due to the fact that I learned it in a different structured way. So I bought a layout and looked at its code. Pretty easy now that I see how it's formatted. That is how I fixed this one up.

The 720 hasn't been announced yet but I'm sure Microsoft will announce it by than and they'll probably show it off at E3.

Yeah I'm also amazed at how many gamers don't follow E3. Seriously, it's like the Super Bowl or the Olympics for gamers lol. I'd love to go to it someday. Since you're going again this year, I'd love for you to make another thread about it and tell us about the experience again.

I just added you to my Xbox 360. I don't play Black ops but I play a lot of Halo 4. For the past 5 years now, the Halo games have been my "work out" games. When I work out on my exercise bike, the Halo games are usually the games I play.

I play a lot of different games, I usually lean more toward the retro style games or the remakes or rereleases of retro games but I do play a lot of other games too. The game I currently play online the most though is Halo 4.

I know what you mean! It is the very moment throughout the year that shows where the industry is headed and exclusive looks at information of projects coming out soon. It's so amazing and inspiring, I really hope you are able to go someday. It's considered an "exclusive event" (closed to the public) but if you pay somewhere around $1000, you can get in. Pretty crazy price. If there's a year to make your money count, it's this one with the consoles being there. I'm excited to be going, that is if I am able to scrounge up the funds. I will most definitely make another thread on the experience though! It's an epic tale to tell, haha.

Alright, I'll accept the request and maybe sometime we can game it up on Halo 4. I mean, I've been playing a ton of Call of Duty: Black Ops II lately due to the fact that there is going to be a 3v3 tournament held at my school. I plan on entering with my girlfriend and another buddy of mine. Hopefully we win. Go big or go home, ya' know?

I'm glad you're a gamer that plays a lot of different games. There are "gamers" out there that claim to be a gamer but they only like one type of game. My opinion is, if you are a gamer, you play all kinds of games no matter the genre. Going back to Halo 4 though, I'd like to game with you sometime. Most likely after this upcoming tournament for me.

I did play the 1st Black Ops a little online, not enough to get good. I'll probably rent Black Ops 2 eventually. Tournaments would be fun, I've never participated in one but that sounds fun, especially since it's in person.

I feel the same way about the term "gamer". They should be open minded when it comes to games and game systems. You have some people who only play a few games or only like 1 system, I don't consider them gamers at all.
