Darknuts.

These guys are just so awesome in Twilight princess, even thought the game is kinda easy, these guys still put up a real fight!

Their design is so majestic, and they are just plain fun to fight.

To be honest? I love them all.
That said.
I really do not know what the appeal is of the Skeleton Warrior. ("Stalfos".)
We have seen them in major Movies, Books, and Games.
For some reason we have a drive to go see the movie, read the book, or play the game that has these foes in them. I wish I could put a finger on it. "Metal" Music has played with the adds using the skeleton so often it is a cliche that we enjoy. (Imagine that concept.)
Could it be the urge to give the Reaper the finger?
Could it be fact that everyone can outweigh and overpower the thing?
I have no clue.
What I do know is that people like the thing.

That said.
There is a strange "Zelda Theory" about one of the "Stalfos" Boss fights on "You-tube". The gist of it includes Link from the O.O.T. game Being the Boss you fight in another game. "Twilight Princess" I think. What ever the case. True or False. I like the story and I have to vote for the Skeleton Warrior "Stalfos".
Brilliant Time consuming Fiction inspired has a way of swinging my vote from time to time. (What can I say? I'm a fan.)

Mark my vote for the bag of bones.

Good Luck To All.
I'm Done. Stick a Fork in Me.
Peace.

Thunder-Bird?? ...From Zelda 2 ?....Has no swords... You might be talking about a newer Zelda game. (I haven't played a new Zelda since The Ocorina of Time.)

Anyway about the game theory...
There is a video on you-tube called "Who is the Hero's Shade?" by "The Super ZeldaMan".
I found it after trying to fall asleep. Searching the internet for video's about games and stumbled on a few good "camp-fire stories". (What else should I call them.)

Any way...
Here is a link that I hope Loads.

Good Luck To All.

I love the darknuts, stalfos, and iron nuckle. Hard to choose really.

orionfoxgibson : Look, I know OoT was amazing! But, you don't know what your missing. TP, WW, SS are all very good if you don't compare them with OoT. They are great in their own way while keeping the Zelda spirit. Any reason you haven't tried them?

Light Knight :
The answer is simple.
MONEY.
Why should I pay a few thousand bucks when I can play the next "Darksiders" for double digit price tags?

There are several games I can play for the price of the next single Zelda Title.
Why would I want to watch Link Never Score?
I have had "My Fill" with Zelda and I have decided to move on to greener pastures.
Other games Do the trick to complete the Zelda series for me.
They answer certain questions that never get answered in the Zelda games.

Would he still fight the good fight?
Would he still carry on?
You have to ask yourself when is it over?
When does Link come home?

I love all the Zelda enemies that have swords. I even like all versions of enemies that have used a sword in at least one game but have other weapons in other games. I think I prefer the axe-bearing Iron Knuckle in OoT. But, for swordfighting, Stalfos is my favourite. It's your best practice time for Z-Targeting, they're easy but complicated in their own way, and, like every other enemy in a game with Z-Targeting, they fight with honor (one-on-one).
...does anyone else think there should be a Zelda game having a dungeon that is a coliseum and it is holding a sword tournament at the time of Link's first run through the dungeon? Or if one of the Provinces had a battle minigame where you can choose an enemy to fight and how many of them to fight? If they did my second idea, the first thing I would do is ask for 4 Iron Knuckles.

Ganon from Twilight Princess. Aside from bosses, Darknut. Darknut is my favorite part of Zelda, as far as sheer fun value goes.

orionfoxgibson : There are two thunder birds in Zelda two, one breifly appears and then shoots fire.

The other carries swords and can shoot sword beams.

No one except yourself can decide what games you like best, But it sounds like you might actually like Twilight princess.

Anyway the theory sounds a lot like one that I came up with maybe a year ago, mind if I ramble? I love this sort of stuff.

After the events of Majora's Mask Link Grew into a strong and powerful swords man. We joi/ned the Knights of Hyrule
and married Malon.  I think that he married her because of what the gossip stone said and this would make it possible for him to have decendants, notice that he calls TP Link "my child". Link still remembered Navi though, and often went to look for her in the lost woods.
One day when Link was about 50 - 60 years old he became lost in the woods searching out an are that he had never been in before.
There he became a stalfos. Link realized that his decendants might need help against whatever new face of evil that might arise.
So Link went to the King of Ikana . He awakened the King, but also arised his anger. The King and Link fought each other, the battle went on for quite a while before Link finaly put his sword to the Kings throat.

That was when the King realized who had been fighting all along. Link told him of his worries and the ancient King decided to give Link a
red Moons pearl. The pearl was enchanted and contained the atmosphere of the Dark World. This allowed Link to become a wolf.
The King also granted Link Gold Magical armor, a sword and shield.

From there He helped Link and even saved Ilia.
I think ilia said she was saved by someone at the old villiage.

That's what I think happened to Hero's Shade.

Sword legion :
I never noticed swords from the "Thunder-Bird" in "Zedla 2."
I just saw fire-balls and that's it.
If there is a screenshot of the event that the "Thunder-Bird" has swords I'd like to see it.
Check out my Screenshot library of Zelda 2 ... "the watered down version." (I'm older and have not the months to spend on the thing ..AGAIN.)
Other than that....
I like the story.
I also like the idea of Link and Malon that was hinted at in the N.64 game.
I forgot about it.
I do remember a few odd statements from those silly Rock things. (loved hitting them with the hammer.) Thanks for the recap. (For a long time I guessed they were previous Hero's graves. Having Hints and tips strewn about in a game that way would be very fitting for a zelda game of that time.)
Thanks for reminding me.
And good story.

Good Luck To All.
I'm done. Stick a fork in me.
Peace.

P.S. .... Why do the dog soldiers, ("Moblins"), not have swords?
Any Myth or story that can clear that up?

orionfoxgibson : Thanks for the compliment, I have considered writing fan fiction and might give it a try here sometime on vizzed.

As for moblins? I'm not certain, in Skyward sword they use heavy, iron, crude, and sometimes chipped blades.
they are somewhat sword fighters in that game.

In the earlier games developers knew that back then swords were expensive so they equipped the moblins with less expensive spears.

Out of the choices in this survey, I would have to pick Dark Link. In Ocarina of Time, the fight was amazing. On Master Quest, he made me use two fairies and I still almost lost. I do suck at sword play on the 3DS, but he is still pretty tough. On the wii, on the other hand, I beat Ganondorf from TP without taking any damage (after replaying the end more than 30 times). Darknuts are cool, but they can't beat Dark Link. I did enjoy battling the two darknuts at the same time in Ganondorf's Castle (TP), but the Ganondorf battle was even better. That's where my real vote goes.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
