Mimi the Quilava : Its been confirmed. Mega Evolutions are 1 time evolutions that happen during battle only. Mega Evolutions happen when a Pokémon is holding a Mega Stone and when a battle is engaged, the stone transforms them into the Mega Evolutions. Once the battle is over, they return to their original forum. So far the following Pokémon have Mega Evolutions...

I know you also said that Mewtwo and Blaziken don't need them because they are already OP... but they announced Mewtwo's form before Mega evolutions were announced so yeah. But it's going to be awesome and nothings going to stop this feature from being added to Pokémon X and Y! 
   Also has anyone seen the Kangaskhan  Mega Evolution... it's basically the same except the baby has come out of its pouch to fight alongside its parent. Also I have never noticed that the baby had more ragged skin than the normal one, and it is bigger than before the Mega evolution. It has been something everybody has wanted since the first Generation.

I mean, I like the fact that they're adding new stuff, but they're adding too much. I personally hate the concept of MegaEvolutions, they're so unnecessary. As for the designs, almost all of them are terrible. I enjoy the mega evolution thing and don't 
feel  like its digimon at all. plus its a temporary

I believe that the creators of the new Pokemon X and Y are taking Pokemon fans advice and molding their ideas into the game.
I'm pretty sure that somewhere I read that they wanted the Pokemon that don't evolve to have a evolution and since absol can't evolve he or she can now evolve since they announced mega absol.
I also read online that some people wanted a character creation and look at the trailor that is exactly what we received.

Personally I feel that "Mega-Evolutions" shouldn't be a "during battle event" but should be something you achieve through either leveling up or through stone activity. I know they are already done with stones but are not permanent changes. I also think it would be cool for more pre-evolutions to be available,  like a pre-evo to Abra, or any of the starters from other generations. Or perhaps a fossilized Pokémon that's Dragon/Psychic. To me these would make the games epic.

Mimi the Quilava : Is much as I hope that's true it may coincidence. That's seems pretty unlikely but if it's true that has to be very accurate, if there there's a mega evolution for tyranitar I would flip in excitement, also how many mega evolutions will there be anyway since that's the main thing going around in my head when I think of the mega evolutions.
