I just had an idea for a tournament. I think we should do a netplay tournament. Since this probably has not been attempted before, it will be free to register just to see how well it works. Every participant is guaranteed 200 Viz winner will get 1000Viz To register:
-post saying you want to register and suggest whether you'd want to play super smash bros, goldeneye, or Mario kart these will be on n64. Once you suggest one of these I will allow you to post 2 games you prefer. If you are ok with the listed game you had chosen then just keep that. If there are enough off the list suggestion then the highest listed suggestion will be played for tourney (at least 3 different people have to suggest it, listed game may be a potential winner too).
Then PM me these details:
-write the time you are usually on vizzed each day or available for vizzed each day. Please convert your time to eastern time so I can get an accurate time for each round to start. (you might have to reconvert when time is posted for a round by me). X:XXa.m./p.m.-X:XXa.m./p.m.
-list whether you are able to host a session or just join so I can get a potential idea for round placements.
-then also let me now, if there was a chance, whether or not you'd want to do teams if game is a team game (on first round only, after that free-for-all)

...If I need more info I will make sure to ask. I am going to try to set-up and test my computer for netplay before competition start to see if we can use it to play without lag(if it doesn't work we will use the vizzed server, I'll let you know)

I will either cut off at 8 or 16 depending on how many people sign up in a certain period of time.

I'll join. I was going to start something like this in a few weeks, but you got it first. I'll play andything, but most of the time super smash bros doesn't work just so you know.

You don't specify how this tournament will work scoring wise. How will the winner be determined?
Also considering these are N64 games and N64 games are pretty hard to get 4 players together without lag, you should determine that these people can play these games lag free as well before they enter the tourney. Otherwise it will be pointless.

Jordanv78 : I have already been working on that... My computer is in the process of becoming a netplay server... if that happens it should decrease a lot of problems. Someone from another country, I think it was France, has their computer set as a netplay server. It was faster than the default server so I am going to try the same and hope for the best. If it works I might do this frequently... but I did say this was only a test...
the scoring will be determined after the game is voted for. If people want they can post scoring suggestions along with their choice of game.

Why does it always have to be the N64? The N64 is glitchy to me, I'll be willing to participate if the video game is the NES, it is still laggy, but it works better for me.

And the number should not stop of signups available should not be 18, if 18 is halved, the number remaining would be 9, and that would be an odd number for a tournament.
In this case, you either change that 18 signup spots to 32 because 32 / 2 = 16 / 2 = 8 / 2 = 4 /2 = 2 / 2 = 1, the number would end exactly 1or reduce it to 16, if the signups are 18, the math would be like this: 18 / 2 = 9 / 2 = 4.5 and 4.5 is not a whole number, should can there be 4 people and a half to remove from the tournament?

As for a game to make the tournament, I'll pick any game from the NES, I don't know why you all only play the N64, play other video games! Only N64, N64, N64, N64. Pick something else!

kingvictory : I can sign you up but if we don't do tournament before January 1st I'll have to take you off the list because newbie's can't normally use netplay without netplay item. Davideo7 is allowing everyone to use it till Jan. 1st. To use netplay you go to the RGR, Then at the top where you see the item shop link, you'll see the netplay link on the same bar, click that... then to enter sessions you click on session name. once your in just... play... but do note you still can't create netplay sessions.

I completely did the bracket math wrong... lol... Also I really do at least need a game voted for by you for nes. One more thing, I'm thinking you would be a big help in creating competitions... kingvictory : newbie's are only allowed to do netplay till Jan. 1st because of the holidays but after that Newbie's will not be allowed to do NetPlay unless they buy the NetPlay item in the item shop, this is how it was done before too.
